This was a great competitive match--our "first game jitters" showed a bit in the first half and we played a bit reactive rather than taking control. The momentum of the game was back and forth for both teams, and both teams had opportunities but just did not capitalize. Lower Moreland is a young team, but they should not be taken lightly.

With about eight minutes to go in the game Brooke Lobban put a diagonal ball through Lower Moreland's back line, the ball took a deflection off a LM defender and Emma Frasca was able to beat everyone to the ball and finish.

Upper Moreland had strong play from defenders Molly Meakim, Skye Kramer and midfielders Mallory Roedig and Willow Taylor. We had some good contributions off the bench as well that really helped improve our possession and momentum, most notably from freshman Mikel Lancit.

We are able to come out of today's match with a better understanding of what we need to work on both individually and as a team.
