Central Bucks West Comments
CB South earned the victory this evening by controlling the midfield for the majority of the match. They capitalized on a several of our defensive errors and finished with with three nice goals. We need to protect the ball better and significantly reduce the volume of unforced turnovers.
Our corner defense rose to the challenge to turn away multiple attempts; and, our Goalkeeper (Brooke Golbeski) kept us in the game with several important stops.
We were able to have a series of good connections in the 2nd half that we plan to build upon. Nina Mayro (freshman) was able to get onto the scoreboard with a nice put back for her and our team's first goal of the season.

Both teams had some very nice passing. CB West did an excellent job of transferring the ball and finding Claire Engebreth and Julia Bunch and CB South had several effective combinations leading to scoring opportunities. Senior Braylee Webb started the scoring with a pull and lift over the GK. In the 3rd quarter, junior Julia Cooper had two beautiful goals in a 6 minute span with Erin Smith assisting on one. Senior Gwen DiPrinzio had a great game in goal and Sarah Cooper, Grace Haag, Lily Haag, and Anna Shirley stepped up and played strong defense. Captains, Sophia Wasyliw and Alyssa Endrick, and sophomore, Marielle Mauri did a nice job of controlling the midfield. Congrats to both teams on a well-played game.
