Congrats to CB West on a hard-fought game! Although we tried to match their hustle and speed tonight, we are still dealing with injuries to key players and were unable to finish on our shots. I am proud of our team for gutting it out and fighting until the end. We place a lot of importance on having a team mindset and appreciate when players are willing to play various positions for the benefit of the team as a whole. Anna Shirley, Anna Gillard, Alyssa Endrick, Maddy Cooper and Maddie Pearce have done what is asked of them day in and day out, often changing positions according to what is needed. While many played hard, Erin Smith did a great job of cutting to the ball tonight and freshman Lily Haag hustled to every ball. Despite the disappointing outcome, we will regroup and work even harder to improve. We look forward to the playoffs and hope that some of our injured players will be able to return.
Kudos to CB West's GK, Brooke Golbeski, and the defense who played an excellent game. CB West's record does not reflect the hard work, hustle, and determination of their team. They were a tough opponent in our very difficult league and should be commended on the improvement they've shown throughout the season. Great job by both teams!

West scored halfway through the first half on a corner. Grayce Reimel inserted and the initial shot hit the post, but after a South clear, Julia Bunch intercepted and sent it into Em Erickson who spun out and found the back of the cage on a reverse shot. The Bucks came back even stronger in the second half- maintaining possession, connecting passes, and creating more offensive opportunities. South made strong runs all night and is super quick on their breakaways, they got a couple corners in the very last minute of the game, but fortunately we were able to hold them off thanks to our solid defensive line (Defensive saves: Sara Lelii and Ella Casale) and goalie, Brooke Golbeski.
Forwards: Em Erickson, Bella Aulisio, Bryn Spoerl, Emily Hohenleitner, and Grayce Reimel did a phenomenal job getting into the circle, working together, and tripling the amount of shots from the last time we saw South.
Mids: Julia Bunch, Claire Engebreth, JL, and Kendall Siegle did a great job supporting each other, maintaining possession, and connecting the D to the forwards.
Defense: Sara Lelii, Maggie Whalen, Claire Natoli, and Ella Casale did a great job shutting down advancements, clearing out wide, and protecting our house!!!
Goalie: Brooke Golbeski made 6 saves and did a wonderful job leading and supporting from the net.
The whole team played with so much hustle and heart tonight. The improvement from the start of the season to now is truly remarkable and inspiring. The coaches are tremendously proud of how this team responded to adversity and improved both grit and talent. The Bucks' attitude and effort in the last few weeks has been incredible. Way to go Bucks!
