The Bensalem Owls battled back from a 2-1 deficit to beat Abington 3-2 (25-16, 16-25, 19-25, 25-18, 15-11) on Tuesday. It is believed to be the first playoff victory in the history of the Bensalem volleyball program! The Owls were led by Paul Leible's dominant performance in the middle with 17 kills and 3 blocks. Ethan Fan (11 kills), Shiv Patel (5 kills) and Harsh Shah (15 digs) stepped up defensively down the stretch for Bensalem. Kyle McVicar (3 kills) and Jake Mottershead (2 kills 2 blocks) made HUGE plays at the net in the fifth set to seal the victory. Senior captain Basheer Ghafary had a gutsy performance with 34 assists.

The ghosts lost a grueling five set match at Bensalem; 16-25, 25-16, 25-19, 18-25, 11-15. Danny Gonzalez had 24 kills, Kenny Wasekanes had five kills, Juan Perez and Mario Colavita had four kills each and Toulant Kurti had two kills and 33 assists. Sean Dougherty has 19 digs, Danny Gonzalez had 11 digs, Toulant Kurti had 9 digs and Kenny Wasekanes had five digs. Seniors Juan Perez and Mario Colavita combine for three blocks, while juniors Jr. and Toulant and combine for three blocks.
