With the Pennsbury Falcons victory today over the Neshaminy Redskins, the Falcons have swept the season series with their SOL National rivals for the second year in a row.
The game started out on equal footing, as Pennsbury scored first on a goal by attack Josh Caven at the 8:40 mark of the first period, assisted by his brother, midfielder Shawn Caven. Neshaminy tied it at 1's forty seconds later when attack Chris Brady fed midfielder Ryan Hutchinsons on the crease for the put in. But that's when the wheels came off for the Redskins. Pennsbury poured in 19 unanswered goals over the next forty minutes and won 18 of the 23 face-offs to walk away with the win.
The Falcons got goals from 11 different players and 15 of the 20 goals were assisted. Pennsbury was led by Josh Caven (5g, 2a), Kenneth Warren (2g, 5a),, Shawn Caven (2g, 2a), Ricky Jutkiewicz (2g, 2a), Tim Considine (1g, 2a), Calvin Hopkins (1g, 1a), Pat “Moose” Bonnot (2g) and Ryan McDonald (1g, 1a). Of note, senior middies Drew Weik and Paul Mier each got their first goals of the season. Neshaminy was led by Ryan Hutchinsons (1g) and Chris Brady (1a).
The win puts the Pennsbury Falcons at 7 - 0 for the year and 2-0 in the Suburban One National conference, while the Neshaminy Redskins are 3-4 on the year and 1-2 in the Suburban One National conference.
