From the opening tip-off to the final buzzer it was nothing short of intense. Both teams answered each other in the first quarter and were all knotted at 14 after one. The up-tempo back and forth pace continued in the second, but Truman had the edge heading into halftime with a score of 31-25. The Panthers came out a little flat to start the third, giving up too many second chance opportunities and were careless with the ball. As a result, the Tigers exploded for 19 points and took the lead at 50-31 after three. The Panthers, however, showed no quit and played hard till the end despite losing 64-47.
