CB South played a fantastic first half keeping North Penn's powerful offense off the board until a stroke was awarded with 6 minutes remaining. CB South continued battling the entire game, giving up two goals with less than 10 minutes to go in the game. Erin Chioffe (CBS) had 3 defensive saves and Megan Gillard (CBS) had one in a great defensive effort. CBS goalkeeper, Francine Richick registered 17 saves on 20 shots.
Pat Toner: We are very proud of the way this team handles themselves and never gives up despite the circumstances. After losing our captain, Lauren Dougherty, to an ankle injury, we have worked hard to adjust. Tonight we had Doc back in a limited capacity and she played with heart and determination. In addition, Kasey Diesel and Mel Dunton had an excellent game.
