Quakertown Comments
Quakertown had a quick turn around from last nights game against Pennridge. Within 24 hours the girls had to regroup and travel to Wissahickon for a competitive match up against a formidable opponent. Wissahickon started quickly and put pressure on our defense. After several plays back and forth Wissahickon was able to convert with 12 minutes left in the first half. Olivia Jackson controlled the defense but was unable to prevent the continuous attack from Wissahickon. We had several circle penetrations but have to organize our attacks and produce better outcomes. We will regroup tomorrow and get ready for Upper Dublin Friday.
Today's game was a great way for Wissahickon to start our league play. We were able to move the ball and create many scoring opportunities in the attacking circle. We generated 20 shots on goal and earned 13 penalty corners. We were able to score on six of those opportunities, with six different teammates scoring. Everyone on the team was able to contribute something and pull out a win for us. Jess Waite had an outstanding game. She was part of every single scoring opportunity and really helped her teammates find the back of the net.
