HH 7 @ Abington 2


The Hatters five healthy seniors all played an integral role in helping Hatboro-Horsham knock off Abington in the last game of the season.

Senior knuckleballer Nick Arbaugh pitched 4 innings to earn his first varsity win. He allowed 2 runs, only 1 of which was earned, on 3 hits.

Senior Matt Saunders pitched a scoreless 5th inning in his first action in almost two months due to a fractured finger. He struck out 1 and allowed only 1 baserunner.

Senior Kyle Katz pitched two scoreless innings to close out the game. Katz also reached base three times in the game with a triple and two walks.

Senior Jarrett Prendergast was 2-4 with an RBI and a double in his final game as a Hatter.

Senior Billy Carr was 2-3 with a run scored, 2 RBI and a double.

The fact that these guys battled until the last out of the season, knocking off two playoff teams in the last two games (North Penn and Pennridge), despite having been eliminated from the playoffs earlier this week, speaks to the character of this team and the leadership of our seniors.
