Playing on a day that seemed more like the beginning of the season, rather than the middle, Wissahickon had a slow start against Upper Merion. Poor passing and missed shots, Wissahickon forced many errors in the first half. Fortunately, they turned the game around, were patient with the ball and played their game, overcoming a tough Upper Merion team with a 12-5 win. Lauren Irvine had 4 goals, Emily Vervlied, Mary Matthews and Carolyn Wilde had 2 goals each. Shannon Stagliano and Marie Dickson each had 1 goal. Vervlied came away with 3 assists and Stagliano, Wilde and Claire Tarzia each offered 1 assist.
