There was great reason to celebrate on Tuesday night for the Lady Hatters volleyball team. Not only did they defeat Mount Saint Joseph again, this time around during a playoff game in their home gym, but they were able to celebrate senior Sam's Jones' career milestone of 1000 kills during the third set. The scores were 25-21, 21-25, 25-22, 25-23.

The offense was led by Jones with 34 kills, senior Alexa Kennedy added nine, junior Jaimee Stoczko contributed seven, and junior Cassidy Quattro contributed six. Senior Candcye Riley dished out 46 assists and served five aces. Freshman Katerina Yankanich contributed greatly to the turn around in set four by serving six straight points in a row, two of them aces, and totaling four aces and 20 service points for the night. Sophomore Allison Laucella also contributed three aces and served 18 total points. Freshman Madelyn Kallmeyer added another two aces. The defense was led by Jones, Laucella, and Riley with 29, 27, and 22 digs respectively.

The Lady Hatters will continue their playoff journey on Thursday when they will take on the #5 seed, Bishop Shanahan.
