Upper Merion struggled at times against a tough Abington team before wearing the home team down in 3 sets. The Lady Vikings won by scores of 25-16, 25-23 & 25-13. The victory pushes UM's conference record to 12-0, thus clinching the American Conference title for the 6th consecutive year and 12th in the past 13 years.

Melanie Ingram led the charge with 17 kills while Emily Shannon added 8. Casey Griffith had 15 service points and Natalie O'Neil had 27 assists.The sophomore middle tandem of Eryn Brady and Niki Carpenter combined for 6 kills and 3 blocks.

Upper Merion will travel to Cardinal O'Hara on Friday night to take on the #1 ranked team in District 12.
