We beat pennridge in the second round 8-6. It was an awesome rematch and it’s always fun to play them.

I knew it was going to be a harder fought win compared to last time. A lot of the players know each other and I knew Maddie was going to adjust their gameplan after our first match up.

Olivia Barrett led the team with 4 goals 3 draws 1gb 1cto. Pennridge really keyed on Ainsley Shissler who added a goal 3 draws 1gb 1cto, 2groundballs and two caused turnover. Both players had phenomenal games in our first matchup.

Kamryn Brownlow also had a solid game in the midfield coming up with a clutch goal in the 3rd quarter to stop a pennridge run of a couple and she also added a draw control, 2grounballs and a crucial caused turnover in the 4th quarter.

My defense really stepped up tonight. Marleigh Mallon had a great day on the coming up with a ground ball and caused turnover and was a huge presence in transition. Evelyn Moore also had a solid night coming up with a draw control 2 ground balls and a caused turnover. Addy Stromberg had a solid day also causing 3 turnovers and handled a lot of pressure in the midfield. Kendra Pitts was composed in cage and in the clear throughout the game.

Super proud of the girls for playing a gritty game. Our goal at the beginning of the year was to make it past the first round and we’ve continued to build and grow from a few tough losses during the season to some big wins as of late.
