NESHAMINY 4, BENSALEM 3
It’s official.
Neshaminy captured at least a share of the SOL Patriot Division title with Tuesday’s win over the Owls. It is the program’s first title since 2018, and the Owls made them earn it.
The Redskins – thanks to RBI singles by Kendall McCafferty and Zahmira Coppola-Miller – took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Bensalem evened the score in the third when Veronica Pachucki hit a two-run double.
In the top of the fifth, the Owls took a 3-2 lead when Abbie Krevolin hit a two-out double to center field that plated Pachucki, who had singled. The Redskins answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning and then held on for the win.
Ellie Miller and Molly Ambrosius combined for the win in the circle.
Dana Oliverio went the distance for the Owls, allowing just one earned run.

McCafferty scored and Morton advanced to second on a passed ball. Riley McCafferty drew a walk, and Lily Mormello singled to left field, driving in Riley McCafferty with a run that stood as game-winner.

--The league title: “I am incredibly proud of what this team has accomplished this season. To secure at least a share of the league championship in such a talented and competitive league says so much about the character of these girls and the effort they put in every day. This was never about one player or one moment. It was about an entire group buying into each other, working hard together, and refusing to back down from challenges.
“This team has shown resilience all season long. They continued to compete through tough games, pressure situations, and high expectations, and they did it while staying connected as a team. Watching their growth throughout the season has been special, and I am so proud of the way they have represented our school and our program.”

“There is a light in their eyes. Winning is nothing more than a feeling. It can be done. They played their best ball at the end. That’s all we can ask for. Best of luck to Coach Martoccio and Neshaminy in the postseason.”

PENNSBURY 4, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 1
The Falcons wrapped up their end-of-season retribution tour, avenging their mercy rule loss to the Golden Hawks just five days after avenging their mercy rule loss to Council Rock North.
“We knew we weren’t that bad,” Pennsbury coach Frank McSherry said.
He was right.
Tuesday’s win was Pennsbury’s 10th in a row since their 11-0 loss to Rock South on April 14.
“Like coach (Ralph) Funk, our JV coach, said, ‘I think those three losses really spurred you guys on, and I think it did,” McSherry said. “We were finding ourselves – it sounds cliché, but we have a freshman pitcher (Paige Fidishun), and that’s part of it.
“I think it took her a little time to grow, and our bats came alive, and we’re playing really good defense.”
The Falcons took a 1-0 lead in the first and added single runs in the third, fifth and seventh. Jenna Thompson smashed a one-out solo home run in the third inning, and in the fifth, Jaylynn Rodweller led off the inning with a solo home run to put the Falcons on top 3-0.
Rock South got one of those runs back in the bottom of the inning when Margot McLean - who singled to lead off the inning and moved up to third on a Falcon miscue – scored on Jenna Pesapane’s sac fly.
The Falcons added a run in the top of the seventh when – with two outs - Maddie McClung came off the bench, hit a double and scored on Ryen Rittersbach’s single to left for the 4-1 win.
Paige Fidishun notched the win,
“She really pitched a great game,” McSherry said. “She really hit her spots, and she was painting (the corners), and that’s what you want to see.”

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 14, HARRY S TRUMAN 3
The Indians rebounded from a three-game losing streak, notching a much-needed win that takes them one step closer to winning a share of the division title. Neshaminy – with its win Tuesday –
clinched a share of the title, and a win over Council Rock South separates the Indians from earning a share.
The Indians led 4-1 heading into the bottom of the third inning when they erupted for six runs to blow the game wide open.
Kayla Ripper and Zoe Hornstein’s three-hit efforts led the Indians.
Senior Chelsea Seiler hit a personal milestone when she collected the 100th hit of a stellar career, joining teammate Kayla Ripper in the 100-hit club.
Emily Dziekan earned the win in the circle while Lucy Mills closed it out with a scoreless fifth.

--Seiler hits milestone: “It was also a special day for Chelsea Seiler, who recorded the 100th hit of her high school career. Chelsea has been on fire lately and continues to be a huge spark for our offense.”
--Props: “With a couple players battling injuries, we turned to utility player Emily Dziekan for her first start of the season because we felt she could provide another strong bat in the lineup. Emily stepped up in a big way, pitching well and also delivering at the plate.
“Ripper, Hornstein, and Bodick all had big days offensively and helped lead the way in an important team win.”

PENNRIDGE 3, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 2
The Rams eked out a win in what was a classic pitchers’ duel between Madison Heinrich and West’s Kendall Kornuszko.
“What a game,” Pennridge coach Crystalrae States said. “It was a pitching duel with both team’s defenses making great plays.
“To watch them make the last out and celebrate was really fun. It’s a testament to the work they have been putting in and all the close games that didn’t go our way. Super proud of them.”
The Rams took a 1-0 lead in the third on Jules Pliszka’s bunt, and they added a run in the fourth when Emersyn Lesher, who doubled, scored on Maeghan Holberg’s bunt single.
A single run the fifth put the Rams on top 3-0, but the Bucks made things real interesting when Hailey Worthington delivered a two-run home run in the bottom of the inning. That 3-2 score stood the rest of the way.
Heinrich notched the complete game win, allowing just three hits and two runs.

--The win: “Our outfield was flawless today — Emersyn (Lesher), Jadyn ((Gulbinski) and Brooke (Bennett) made it look easy. We executed some small ball and exploited a couple of miscues to hold onto the lead. Madison (Heinrich) threw a three-hitter today and held steady the whole game.”
Central Bucks West coach Mike Daher:
--The game: "This was a difficult loss for us against a very competitive team in Pennridge. They played us very tough both times this year. I think they are a well-coached team who has really improved as the season went on this year. We did not hit the ball well today and had some timely errors that led to some runs.
“Kendall Kornuszko pitched a very efficient game in defeat and really kept us in the game until the end. I feel like we kept battling until the end of the game, but we just could not get the hit that we needed to pull this one out. Hailey Worthington also pitched in a big two-run home run that got us to within a run in the fifth inning, but we could not put a run on the board in the final two innings. We have to just see if we can clean up some things defensively going into the District 1 playoffs and if we can get our bats going during the playoffs.”

It was a 1-1 game heading into the fourth inning when the Knights scored a pair and then added five more runs over the next two innings on their way to the win.
Felicia Connolly, who earned the complete game win, spotted the Knights a 1-0 lead with an RBI single in the bottom of the first. The Patriots evened the score in the third when Hailey Helmstetter, who doubled, scored on a two-out error.
The Knights – led by Brandi Groarke’s three-hit effort – held a 14-8 advantage in hits.

The Indians closed out the regular season on a high note, erupting for 11 runs in a third inning that included three home runs. Emma Lewis hit two of them in what has to be a rare occurrence, and Ava Detwiler hit the other. Six of the Indians’ 13 hits in the abbreviated contest were extra-base hits.
Kiera Fadden’s three-hit effort led the Indians.
Freshman Katie Straub allowed just one hit in the shutout win, striking out five and walking a pair.

It would have been impossible to write a better script than the one that unfolded with PW and UD sharing the top spot heading into the league finale for both teams on Tuesday.
The game certainly did not disappoint as it came down to the ninth inning with the Colonials winning it on a walk-off squeeze bunt by Zoey Robinson that plated Maddie Swift with the dramatic game-winner.
“Great team victory - these girls should be proud of their resiliency and grit to pull out the win,” PW coach Mike Perez said. “It was such a great atmosphere.
“Last game of the season, playing for the league title against a really hot Upper Dublin team and one of the best pitchers around - and we executed when we needed to to come out with a dramatic win.
“Huge thanks to our Life Skills class for cheering us on, our fans, the wonderful staff who came out, and the baseball team that cheered us on from center field.”
The teams spent the first eight innings exchanging runs. The Colonials struck first when Swift, who had doubled, scored on a ground out. PW led 2-0 after freshman Lori Flannery hit a solo home run in the fifth.
In the sixth, Ava Renye and Kyla Garrison opened the inning with back-to-back singles. Renye scored on a PW miscue, and Garrison scored on Kate Brannigan’s single to knot the score 2-2. Neither team scored again until the ninth.
The pitchers from both sides – Garrison for UD and Liv Brodzinski and Emma Keely for PW – kept their teams in it until the end. Each team managed just six hits.

--The game: “We knew, facing Kyla, runs would be at a premium. I thought we did a nice job being selective, limited our strikeouts, and playing effective small ball to win the game in the ninth.”
--Props: “Maddie Swift played a great game today - defensively she’s been so reliable all year for us. And today she ripped a double to help us get our first run and then, in the ninth, she was able to get on base, move to third on aggressive baserunning, and scored on a walk-off squeeze.
“Emily Dobrowolski also had a great game at the plate. She’s the most unselfish player I’ve ever coached and does whatever she can to win games. In the second inning, with one out and a runner on third base, she hit a grounder to first base to get us on the board. In the seventh, she dropped a great bunt and stole a base to put us a position to win. And then in the bottom of the ninth with a runner on, she put down a great push bunt to get a runner to third and even advanced to second base herself. This led to the great pressure-filled squeeze bunt by Zoey Robinson to win the game and the league title.
“Shout out to our two pitchers: Liv Brodzinski got out of a couple jams early but really settled in through five innings. And Emma Keely pitched the last four innings, giving up just one hit and striking out seven to earn the win.
“Another big hit was by freshman Lori Flannery who smacked a home run down the left field line in the fifth.”

Kaylee Carr tossed a complete game shutout, allowing just three hits while fanning seven and walking three in a superb effort in the circle. With Tuesday’s outing, Carr extended her scoreless innings streak to 12 after throwing five shutout innings in the Panthers’ win over Upper Perkiomen 24 hours earlier.
A two-run first was more than Carr needed when it came to run support, but the Panthers added five runs in the third. They opened the inning with back-to-back-to-back singles by Jefferson, Cadence Jozefowski and Hilton (2RBIs). Also contributing singles in the frame were Anna Bruno, Kayla Scheibenhofer (RBI) and Carr (RBI. The Panthers also benefitted from a pair of Ghost miscues.

In a contest that saw the two teams combine for 24 hits and 23 runs, it was the Hatters – thanks to a six-run outburst in the fourth inning – earning the win.
For the Hatters, Maya Ravi, Molly Harrington and Adrianna DeLeon each had two hits. DeLeon’s four RBI effort led the Hatters.
Tara Plover’s three-hit effort led the Trojans.

NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 7, WILLIAM TENNENT 1
The Lions clinched a share of the SOL Freedom Division title for the second time in three years. Mabel Klossner and Dagny Mobley have been instrumental in the Lions’ recent success, and appropriately, the duo shared time in the circle in Tuesday’s division-clinching win.
Klossner, who earned the win, started and threw four innings, allowing four hits and one run. Mobley closed it out, allowing two hits in three shutout innings. The duo combined for 11 strikeouts.
The Lions scored a pair of runs in the second and added two more in the third, thanks to a solo home run by Klossner and an RBI single by Kaylee Harris that plated Mobley, who doubled.
The Panthers put a run on the board in the top of the fourth on an RBI single by Breanna Wood only to see the Lions – thanks to a two-run double by Mobley – add a pair in the bottom of the inning.
Angie Colagreco’s three-hit effort led the Panthers.

The Golden Bears seized early control of Tuesday’s game, scoring three runs in the first and five more in the third. A 10-run fourth brought an early end to the game that saw the Golden Bears clinch a share of the SOL Freedom Division title.
Brookly Kavanagh’s three-hit, four-RBI performance led the Golden Bears.
Delaney Stout and Camryn Horne combined for the win in the circle.

A four-run first by the Spartans set the tone for the big win.
Julia Matthews was in command in the circle allowing just one hit and one run (unearned) while fanning eight and walking one.

Key inning: Bottom of first –With two outs, the Spartans staged a rally. Natalie Hartman and Reese Kaub hit back-to-back singles, and the bases were loaded after Bea Lyons was hit by a pitch. Hartman scored on a wild pitch, and with a pair of runners in scoring position, Jordyn Serrao doubled to right field, plating a pair. Serrao scored on an error, and the Spartans led 4-0 on their way to the mercy rule win.
