East’s Senior Night started off with a bang as the large crowd gave injured senior Joe Lapeire a standing ovation to start the match. Once the game began, the Patriots were led defensively tonight by Mason Sullivan with 8 digs, and Nick Cross with 11 digs. Directing a well balanced attack was Eli Dalby who dished 40 assists in addition to piling up 10 kills, an ace, 4 blocks, and 8 digs. East’s “Mr. Consistency”, Kyle Knorr, once again had a stellar night, amassing 20 kills, 4 assists, 4 aces, and 19 digs. East’s middle was handled by Nate Diodato, who added 5 kills,1 ace, 2 blocks and 5 assists. Three sophomores were key to the Patriot’s success tonight as Graham Christopher tallied 12 kills, a block and 10 digs while “Cal” Calaghan added a block, a dig, and 3 assists while adding stability in the middle. Nathan Gruber a special night, accounting for 9 kills, and 10 digs with a .545 hitting percentage and a passer rating of 2.1.
