Central Bucks East 11, Bensalem 4
The Patriots celebrated the team’s seniors prior to the game and then went out and won it.
“We were able to recognize the seniors graduating from both CB East and Bensalem today,” East coach Kelly Tait said. “For East, we recognized Senior Captains Natalie Berndt, Paige Dougherty and Avery Stephenson along with seniors Lora Collins, Bella DeHaven, Megan Fahey, McKenna Lynch, Kayla Matlack and Amanda Ries.
“The majority of our seniors have been playing together since they were in youth lacrosse, so it has been really nice to watch their comfort with each other and how well they work together play out over the course of this season. They are special group of people, each of whom have had such positive impacts on our team. We will truly miss them next year.
McKenna Lynch and Paige Dougherty both had six-point games to lead the Patriots’ attack.

--The game: “Paige Dougherty started our scoring off with a quick goal off of the first draw. After that, we seemed to struggle and ended the first quarter 1-1. Bensalem was doing a good job of holding possession of the ball and playing tough on defense, and we ended up just watching what they were doing instead of playing to win the game. We reminded the girls at the first break that we needed to get back to playing our game and we were glad to see they came out of that break and put five unanswered goals into the net.”
“Senior McKenna Lynch led the attack with four goals and two assists. Defensively, the team secured 15 caused turnovers which was instrumental in increasing our scoring opportunities.”
Up next: Central Bucks East will host Pennsbury for its SOL finale Thursday (5pm), and Bensalem will host North Penn Thursday.

Cheltenham 11, Norristown 3
The Lady Panthers controlled play from start to finish in Tuesday’s Senior Night game which was celebrated at Arcadia University.
“It was such an incredible night celebrating our seniors,” Cheltenham coach Emily Towey said. “We were able to play on Arcadia's turf with beautiful weather and really enjoy our time together.
“Our sideline energy was the best it's ever been, and girls were connecting all over the field together. Our junior goalie, Meg Robsinson, also secured her 300th career save in her second year ever playing lacrosse. She has been such a brick wall for us this season. “
The Lady Panthers led 6-3 at halftime and then outscored their hosts 5-0 on their way to the decisive win.
Megan Robinson recorded eight saves in goal for the Lady Panthers.
