SOL Colonial Division
Pennridge 6, North Penn 2
When this year’s seniors were freshmen, Pennridge went 2-18.
After Tuesday’s 6-2 on the road at North Penn, the Rams are 14-2 and own the SOL Colonial Division championship all by themselves.
“It is such a privilege to coach this group of young men,” said coach Dan Long. “They approach practice with intent and play the game the right way. The SOL conference is as tough as they come. To win our division is a testament to their hard work and togetherness.”
Sensational freshman Oliver Olson continued to dazzle on the mound, with six shutout innings, allowing just two hits and two walks, to improve to 4-0 in league play.
Catcher Tommy Ginnetti was 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and two RBIs.
Meanwhile, North Penn finds itself close to out of contention for a District One playoff spot. It would need to beat Pennridge in the division finale on Thursday and get help from others.

Key Inning: Top of the 3rd - Up 2-0, Pennridge added two more. T.J. McGuigan, Ascher Hamburg and Noah Keating hit back-to-back-to-back singles, with Keating picking up an RBI. With one out, Nick Calabretti singled to drive in another.

“We did a great job of scoring early after a nine-inning game on Monday. Oliver Olson has been outstanding for us all year and today was no different.”

Central Bucks South 6, Central Bucks East 3
After nine straight losses and just two games remaining, Central Bucks South was due, and Tuesday, it cashed in with a 6-3 win to even the season series with rival CB East.
The Titans scored six runs on nine hits and held the Patriots at bay in a close battle.
Connor Markowitz had a two-run home run in the first inning to put South up 2-0.

Key Inning: Top of the 6th - Up by one, CB South tacked on a pair of insurance runs with a two-out rally. Corey Merz doubled, one run scored on an error and another on an RBI single by Sean Bullicki.
CB South coach David Bodzioch:
“Today was a great win in a tough season. The guys were up right from the jump. Connor Markowitz got us started with a two-run bomb, his first at the varsity level.
“The young guys added great energy. Jack Anderosky (sophomore) and Chase Friedman (freshman) had their first hits at the varsity level. Corey Merz (freshman) had his first double and made a 1 of 1 catch in right field. One of the best I’ve seen at the high school level.
“We gave Brendan Kelly his first varsity start, and he did what he does, which is fill up the zone and keep hitters off balance. He’s definitely been one of our top two pitchers this year. It was great to see us get a win for him.”
Next up: Friday night, CB South and CB East square off in Game 3 of the final three-game series of the season.

Souderton 3, Central Bucks West 1
After a no-hitter by Souderton pitcher Trent Lutz 24 hours earlier, CB West scored a run without a hit in the top of the first inning Tuesday.
But that wasn’t a harbinger of things to come, as the Indians countered with three runs in the bottom of the first, and pitcher Johnny Byrwa settled in for another well-pitched game, as Souderton won 3-1.
The win was seventh in the last eight games for the Indians.
Key Players: S - Johnny Byrwa (WP, 5 2/3 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 7 K), Ethan Lesh (Save, 1 1/3 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K), Trent Lutz (1 RBI), Charlie Hunsinger (1 RBI), Patrick Wendell (1 RBI).
CBW - Jacob Greer (LP, 6 IP, 2 H, 3 ER, 6 BB, 10 K).
Key Inning: Bottom of the 1st - The first three batters reached, thanks to two walks and a hit batter. Trent Lutz hit a one-out RBI single, and Charlie Hunsinger and Patrick Wendell drew bases loaded walks to put Souderton in front.
Next up: Souderton plays at CB West in the series finale on Thursday afternoon.

SOL Patriot Division
Neshaminy 5, Pennsbury 4
Pretty much from Day 1, this three-game series to close the regular season was circled on the schedule, and both teams knew a lot would be on the line.
Neshaminy and Pennsbury went into Tuesday’s series opener tied with 11-1 records atop the Patriot Division standings. And Game 1 went to Neshaminy, which rallied from a 3-1 deficit against 
Pennsbury ace Keller Bradley to post the 5-4 victory.
Brandon Lall and Noah Wallace each drove in two runs.
Reliever Jared Kligerman worked out of a jam with the tying run in scoring position with a game-ending popup in the top of the seventh.
“We knew coming into today’s game that it was going to be a battle,” said Neshaminy coach Dan Toner. “Facing a talent like Keller is no easy task, but to be successful in the playoffs, they are the type of guys you need to beat.
“I was extremely happy with how we competed at the plate today. We found some barrels and the guys that got out were tough outs.”
Neshaminy can clinch the division title with a win on Wednesday.

Key Inning: Bottom of the 5th - Trailing 3-1, a pair of one-out walks opened the door for Neshaminy. A two-out double by Brandon Lall scored both base runners and tied the game. Noah Wallace followed that with an RBI single, as Neshaminy went up 4-3.

–Props: “Our senior captains (Bonner, Lall, Wallace and Gryn) carried the game for us. They are the leaders of the team because they step up in big situations like they did today.
“Matt Gryn did a nice job on the mound today. He was able to get out of a couple tough innings. Our defense played well behind him as well.
“We brought Jared Kligerman in to close the game and give Pennsbury a different look. He pitched well and was able to get the save.”
Next up: Game 2 of the series is Wednesday, as Pennsbury hosts Neshaminy.

Council Rock North 9, Bensalem 1
It took a while, but once CR North’s offense kicked into gear it was off and running, blowing past Bensalem 9-1 in another key game in the Indians’ chance for a District One playoff berth.
On Monday and Tuesday, CR North outscored Bensalem 21-1.
The Indians entered Tuesday in the No. 21 position in the district rankings for the 24-team playoffs, with four games remaining.
Key Players: CRN - Kyle Book (2-for-4, double, 2 RBIs), Jude Hamilton (2-for-3, triple), Zack Ruple (2-for-3, double, 2 RBIs, 3 runs), Preston Martin (WP, 6 2/3 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 8 K).
Key Inning: Top of the 5th - Zack Ruple singled and Preston Martin walked to put the first two runners on for CR North. Kyle Book’s one-out double drove in two runs and the Indians never looked back.
CR North coach Matt Schram:
“Preston Martin started a little shaky in the first inning but then settled in and was on point and efficient. After a 31-pitch first inning, he hit 100 pitches in the seventh with two outs. Very proud of his effort today.”
–Props: “Offensively, their starter did a nice job making and kept the game close. Kyle Book’s two-out double was clutch hitting which turned out to be the hit to put us in front to stay.
“The team continues to play unselfish and finding their way as a well-balanced unit.”
Next up: CR North goes for the series sweep in Game 3 at home against Bensalem on Thursday.

Council Rock South 13, Harry S Truman 0 (5 innings)
For the second straight day, CR South had a whole lot of offense and shutdown pitching, and for the second straight day the Golden Hawks picked up a mercy-rule victory, this time by a 13-0 final against Harry S. Truman.
Needing a win to keep pace in the District One playoff hunt, CR South scored five in the second, one in the third and seven in the fourth to bring about the mercy rule after five innings. It has outscored Truman 27-2 in the first two games of the series.
The Hawks entered Tuesday in the No. 25 position in the rankings to determine the 24 district playoff teams.
Key Players: CRS - Logan Kolimaga (3-for-3,triple, 4 RBIs, 2 runs), Nick DiSalvo (2 RBIs), Caleb Dubas (WP, 4 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 5 BB, 4 K).
Key Inning: Bottom of the 2nd - A walk, a single by Caleb Dubas and a hit-by-pitch loaded the bases with nobody out. Shane Myers walked with the bases loaded to score one, and then Logan Kolimaga roped a three-run triple to make it 4-0. A Jack Reynolds ground out plated the fifth run of the inning.
CR South coach Greg Paprocki:
“Another great win for our guys. I thought we did a really nice job against Austin Allen, and he’s a great pitcher for Truman. Like I said, a really good job of not quitting on at bats and continuing to make at-bats competitive.
“We had a solid start on the mountain for our freshman, Caleb Dubas. His command was a little bit off today, but he battled through it and gave our guys a shot to win the game.
“Offensively, guys did a really good job putting in the ball play and Logan Kolimaga, who has had a tremendous senior year, had a great day at the plate for us.
“So far, it’s been a good week. We’re looking forward to coming back on Thursday and playing another great game.”

SOL Liberty Division
Plymouth Whitemarsh 8, Wissahickon 7
It’s been quite the run for Plymouth Whitemarsh and that continued in dramatic fashion at home on Tuesday.
The Colonials built a big lead, saw it slip away late and then pulled it out in extra innings, defeating Wissahickon by one run for the second day in a row, an 8-7 victory that clinched the division championship.
“Every high school player starts the season with the hope of winning one very big championship at the end,” said PW coach Chris Manero. “But, that one is a tough one and in order to get there, it is equally as important to win everything in front of you.
“I know our guys wanted this one really bad today, and I am so happy for them. They really had to dig deep, and everyone on this roster has contributed all year.”
Tuesday was PW’s seventh win in a row, and ninth in its last 10 games. The Colonials and Trojans entered the week tied in the division standings.

Key Inning: Bottom of the 8th - After a pair of groundouts started the inning, Brandon Wooldridge drew a walk. Dominic Criscuolo followed with a double to right field to score the game-winning run.

“Our bats were hot early, but we are right here neck and neck with Wissahickon for a reason, so even after a fast start, we knew that this would be a battle.
“This is one of the few games this year that it's hard to single out one guy or one individual performance, because there were moments big and small throughout this game that may or may not show up in the box score, but were pivotal to winning the game.
“Today was also our Senior Day, and I can't say enough about this Class of 2026. I have enjoyed seeing them grow and having them in this program for the last four years. They are competitors and, more importantly, they are very, very good people.”

Abington 12, Hatboro-Horsham 11
It’s not every day when a team blows an eight-run lead, allows 10 runs over the final three innings, and still finds a way to walk away from the field with a victory.
And for Abington, which entered Game 2 of its series with Hatboro-Horsham on a five-game losing streak, it found a way on Tuesday, as Tim Campbell’s RBI single in the bottom of the seventh gave the Galloping Ghosts the 12-11 victory.
Abington led this one 9-1 after four innings. H-H rallied with four in the fifth, three in the sixth, and then three in the seventh to tie the game at 11, before the Ghosts walked it off in the bottom of the seventh.
Key Players: A - Tim Campbell (3-for-3, 5 RBIs, 2 runs), Gavin Grasso (2-for-2, HR, 1 RBI, 4 runs), Phil Capone (2-for-4, 2 RBIs), Jaiden Trifun (2-for-2, double, 1 RBI), Colin Duffy (2-for-4, 1 RBI), Hooven (2-for-4, 2 runs).

Key Inning: Bottom of the 7th - Kevin Kelly reached on a one-out error, Gavin Grasso was hit by a pitch, and then Phil Capone singled to load the bases. Tim Campbell followed with the game-winning RBI single to right field.

“Offensive battle today. Hatboro-Horsham kept battling back. We finally walked it off with Tim Campbell’s third base hit of the game. Tim had five RBIs today. Gavin Grasso added to the offense with his second home run, single and three walks (two intentional).
“Nice team win, Jaiden Trifun started the game and pitched four superb innings, unfortunately his pitch count was getting too high. Both teams battled.”

Quakertown 8, Upper Dublin 3
Coming off of back-to-back losses, and five losses in its last six games that took away any division title aspirations, Quakertown bounced back in a big way Tuesday night with an 8-3 victory over visiting Upper Dublin.
The Panthers trailed 1-0 going into the fifth, but scored three in the fifth and five in the sixth to take command of the game.
Quakertown scored eight runs on just four hits, but took advantage of four walks, three hit-batters and five Upper Dublin fielding errors.
Key Players: Q - Evan Cammann (double, 3 RBIs, 2 runs), Max Drews (1 RBI), Justin Hankinson (1 RBI), Chase Davis (3 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 2 K), William Bowen (WP, 4 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 5 K).
UD - Chase Greiner (HR, 2 RBIs).
Key Inning: Bottom of the 6th - Tied at 3, Max Drews put Quakertown in front with a one-out RBI single, Evan Cammann followed with a two-run double and later scored on a wild pitch and the final run cross on a bases loaded walk.
Quakertown coach Jon Pallone:
“We needed it today. Yesterday, we were a little flat and we let that game get away from us. Today, we knew we needed to come with energy and believe for seven innings. The guys answered the call. We hung tight until we got Greiner out of the game and then we got back to Quakertown baseball.
“Justin Hankinson keeps getting on base and now driving guys in.
“After Greiner hit a game-tying HR, our guys didn’t give an inch; they got the next guy out and went right to work.
“Max Drews got back to himself and came up big in a big moment. Then Evan Cammann had a big two-run double. Chase Davis opened the game for us and then William Bowen came in for the long relief ‘W.’”

Springfield Twp 1, William Tennent 0
One day after a lopsided shutout of William Tennent, Springfield made it two straight against the Panthers, again via the shutout.
But this time, it was a pitchers’ duel from start-to-finish, as three Spartans pitchers combined on a two-hitter, as a second-inning run held up for the 1-0 victory.
Ryan Trader, Jack Massari and Jibiril Tawfeeq combined on the mound for the shutout for Springfield.
Key Players: S - Ryan Trader (WP, 3 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 4 K), Jack Massari (3 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K), Jibril Tawfeeq (Save, 1 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K), Jake Gibson (1 RBI).

Key Inning: Bottom of the 2nd - Springfield manufactured its only run of the game. Anderson Kerper led off the inning with a walk and went to second on a sac bunt by Rocco Lugrine. Pinch-runner Ben Gazzara went to third on a passed ball and scored on an RBI single by Jake Gibson.

–The Pitching: “Great pitching duel today for our Senior Day. William Tennant’s Aiden Wilkowski was tremendous. Our starting pitching was just as good. Seniors Ryan Trader and Jack Massari only gave up one hit apiece. Junior Jibril Tawfeeq did an excellent job striking the side in the bottom of the seventh.
“Senior DH Jake Gibson drove in the only run of the day. It was a great day to honor our seniors for all they have done for the program.
“Right now, we are in a must-win mode to try and get into the playoffs. Every game is an important game for us.”

Cheltenham 10, Lower Moreland 0
Tuesday was Sam Twersky’s turn.
With a whole lot of run support behind him, Twersky pitched five shutout innings, as Cheltenham again routed Lower Moreland 10-0 in five innings on Tuesday, one day after a 12-0 five-inning win over the Lions.
The Panthers had 10 runs on nine hits in just four at-bats,
Key Players: C - Jack Haugen (3-for-3, triple, 1 RBI, 2 runs), Emile Chanoine (2-for-3, 2 runs), Eamon Ivory (2-for-3, 2 RBIs), Sam Twersky (WP, 5 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 3 K).
Key Inning: Bottom of the 3rd - Up 1-0, Cheltenham scored three times in the third. Emile Chanoine singled, Tim Dugan walked and Jack Haugen singled to drive in a run. Finn Kopp and Eamon Ivory followed with RBI singles of their own to put the Panthers in command.
Cheltenham coach Lukas Nakkula:
“It was another big game for us and was great to see our whole team step up and play well. We have been dealing with some injuries, so our whole roster has had to play lately, and everyone has stepped up at some point.
“Sam Twersky was awesome on the mound all game, and our lineup hit well,1-9, again for us. It was a big win, and we are looking to get another on Thursday.”

Upper Moreland 20, New Hope-Solebury 6
One day after clinching the division title, the celebration continued for Upper Moreland, as it scored 20 runs on 17 hits, and blew past New Hope-Solebury by a 20-6 final score.
The Golden Bears led this one 9-1 and then 13-5, before a seven-run seventh inning made it a football score at 20-6.
Jimmy Murray had a home run and four RBIs for UM, which had six extra base hits by six different players. In all, nine different players had hits.
Key Players: UM - Jimmy Murray (3-for-4, HR, 4 RBIs, 4 runs), Chase Rampulla (3-for-4, 3 RBIs, 2 runs; 2 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K).
NH-S - Jackson Townsend (2-for-3, double, 2 RBIs, 3 runs), Chase Moore (2-for-2, double, 2 RBIs), Luke Sword (2-for-6, double, 1 RBI), Lucas Zipper (2-for-6, double, 1 RBIs) .
Key Inning: Top of the 2nd - After a single by Mike Harter, and a double by Gavin Shaffert, Jimmy Murray hit a three-run home run. Chase Rampulla added a RBI single, Chase Moore a RBI sacrifice fly, and Lucas Zipper a RBI single.
UM coach Jim Fasano:
“Really good offensive performance today against a pitcher who has pretty much had his way with the rest of the league. Every starter had a hit, Jimmy Murray and Chase Rampulla each had three of them, including Murray’s fourth home run of the season.
“Jimmy drove in four, Ramp three, Jackson Townsend, Chase Moore, Luke Sword, Lucas Zipper had two hits apiece. Zach O’Connor was on base all four times, Townsend was on four times.
“Today pretty much epitomized the old saying that ‘hitting is contagious’.
–On the mound: “Luke Sword continued his fantastic season on the mound with 2.2 innings of shut down relief and Chase Rampulla closed it out with two of his own.”
–Looking ahead: “Not a whole lot to critique today. We just have to continue to grind out at bats and put balls in play with two strikes.
“Another huge game for us Thursday evening, our Senior Night at Mason’s Mill, against one of the best pitchers in the league. The whole community and future Bears will be there watching.
“New Hope has had a great season and is the favorite to win the 2A district championship, we’ve just really bounced back after losing our first game of the season on Thursday to Springfield. I think the loss kind of galvanized us, it was a helpful reminder that we have to play well to win and it’s not going to be easy to get to where we want to be.”
Next up: Game 3 of the series will be under the lights at Masons Mill Park on Thursday night.
