Pennridge 23, Bensalem 3
Eleven different players scored as Pennridge dominated Bensalem 23-3 in Monday’s National Conference game.
The Rams – ranked 16th in the new District 1 3A standings – doubled up the Owls 4-2 in the first quarter, then poured in 13 unanswered goals in the middle two periods to put the game well out of reach.
Kayla Verespy’s six-point effort (1 goal, 5 assists) led all scorers. Madigan Posey and Megan Moylan each scored three and added two assists.

Central Bucks East 11, Council Rock North 4
Central Bucks East worked its game plan to perfection.
As a result, the Patriots picked up its first win over Council Rock North in five years in an 11-4 victory in Monday’s National Conference game.
“Central Bucks East hasn’t beaten Council Rock North since 2021, so this game felt like a big one for us,” said Patriots’ coach Kelly Tait. “We came in with a clear plan, and our defenders executed it incredibly well, limiting North’s scoring opportunities all game. Our midfielders battled hard on every draw, and along with our attackers, did a great job maintaining possession and playing with purpose.”
Lora Collins made nine saves for East – ranked 22nd in the latest District 1 3A standings – while Paige Dougherty and Cece Hayes each contributed three goals and two assists.
Council Rock North is ranked 28th in the latest standings.

Central Bucks East coach Kelly Tait: “Once again, goalie Lora Collins had a strong performance in the cage, finishing with 9 impressive saves. North defended our clears by tightly locking off our players. Lora stayed composed and patient, waiting for one of her teammates to make the right move and get open. When they did, she was able to deliver accurate clears to get the ball into our attacking end.”
Up next: Central Bucks East will host Bensalem Tuesday (7pm), and Council Rock North will be on the road at Central Bucks West Thursday (7pm).

Central Bucks West 14, Council Rock South 3
Central Bucks West earned at least a share of the National Conference title with its 14-3 victory over Council Rock South on Monday.
The Bucks can claim the title outright with a win over Council Rock North on Thursday.
Ainsley Shissler led the Bucks with five goals and an assist. Olivia Barrett scored four and added one assist to go along with six draw controls.
The Bucks come in at No. 7 in the latest District 1 Class 3a rankings. South is ranked 32nd.

Ainsley Shissler and Olivia Barrett paced the offense with a combined nine goals and two assists. Zola Morelli added a goal and assist and three draw controls and a lot of hustle in transition.
“We’re excited to play Gwynedd tomorrow before we celebrate our seniors on Thursday!”

Souderton 19, Pennsbury 16
Aly Hassett had a hand in eight goals to lead a potent Indians’ attack Monday. Cameron Bauer added five goals and an assist in a six-point game.
Addie Yost led the Indians with seven ground balls and also had a team-high seven draw controls. Marlie Bussom had a team-high four caused turnovers, and Nika Fulginiti recorded 10 saves.
For the Falcons, Abby Iacona’s 10-point game included six goals while Sasha Dobos had four goals and three assists.

Upper Dublin held Abington scoreless in the first quarter as the Cardinals built a 9-2 halftime lead on the way to a 16-7 victory over the Ghosts in Monday’s American Conference game.
The big win came after the Cardinals celebrated their elder stateswomen – Maeve Hogan, Ava Shohen, Ella McGuckin, Hannah Ellner, Molly O'Neal, and Lily Buckius – in Senior Night ceremonies.
Bridget DiMartile scored six goals and added one assist as well as a whopping 11 draw controls to lead the Cardinals, who are ranked 13th in the latest District 1 Class A rankings.
Katie Pennekamp led Abington – ranked 11th in the District 1 Class AA – with three goals and two assists.

We were able to control the draw early and establish momentum and the girls fought hard to keep that momentum going for most of the game. Abington continued to pressure us in their zone, so we worked hard to get cutters open and feed the ball inside.
“This was a great way to celebrate Senior Night tonight! The girls put together a complete game tonight against a very good Abington team, and it started with the defense.”

Cheltenham 16, William Tennent 3
This was a day to celebrate the ones who get things started.
Cheltenham’s Mia Haugen earned her 100th draw control among her seven wins, and William 
Tennent’s Olivia Jakimoski also reached the 100-draw control plateau among her five.
While both teams celebrated the excellence of the ones who start the plays, it was Cheltenham that finished, picking up a 16-3 victory in Monday’s American Conference game.
Haugen and Brianna Gardner led all scorers with five goals and three assists each.
Laney DelRossi scored two goals to lead Tennent. Jakimoski scored the Panthers’ other goal.

Cheltenham coach Emily Towey: “Today was overall a really great day of lacrosse from both teams. We each were able to celebrate one of our players earning 100 draw controls, which was something incredible as both of our programs are growing in the right direction. Brianna Gardner and Mia Haugen took over the stat sheet, each contributing 5 goals and 3 assists. Mia also had 7 draw controls and Bri added in 2. That was the last away game those two will ever play together so it was really special to see them light it up as a unit."
William Tennent coach Susan Lorenzon: “It was a tough loss for us today, as we struggled to find consistency on both sides of the ball. A number of off-target passes led to turnovers, which made it difficult to establish our offensive rhythm. Defensively, we were a bit disconnected at times, allowing opportunities we normally work to prevent.
“However, we saw some positive moments off the draw, which gave us chances to slow things down and move the ball with more purpose. Laney DelRossi led the offense with two goals, while Liv Jakimoski added one. We’ll look to regroup, clean up our execution, and come back stronger in our next game.”
—Massive milestone for Jakimoski: “Huge shoutout to Liv Jakimoski for earning her 100th 
draw control! Liv reached an incredible milestone, not just for herself, but for Tennent, becoming the first player in the girls’ lacrosse program to hit this mark.
“Her journey makes this achievement even more special. As a freshman, Liv primarily played attack, only occasionally stepping in at midfield, which limited her opportunities on the draw. She still finished the season with 19 draw controls. Sophomore year, she saw a bit more time at midfield but remained mostly on attack, closing out the season with 28 draw controls.
“Now, as a junior, she has fully embraced her role as a midfielder, and it shows. Liv’s quickness, determination, and relentless drive to gain possession after every draw have elevated her game. Once she realized that reaching 100 was within reach, she pushed herself even harder, which is saying a lot because her work ethic has always stood out.
“It was an awesome moment when she secured her 100th draw control. Her teammates rushed the field with posters, balloons, and hugs to celebrate her. Moments like that highlight not only Liv’s accomplishment, but also the strong bond this team shares. When she was just one draw away, her fellow middies did everything they could to help her reach that milestone.
“I am incredibly proud of Liv and everything she has accomplished. With three games left this season and another full season ahead, I can’t wait to see how she continues to grow and what she brings back to the field next year.”

Plymouth Whitemarsh – seeded fifth in the latest District 1 3A rankings – used an aggressive defense to blank Hatboro-Horsham in Monday’s American Conference matchup.
Goalkeeper Addi Stein turned aside both Hatters’ shots she faced. Grace Harvey and Ellie Coyle led the Colonial attack with three goals and one assist each.

A four-goal second quarter gave Upper Moreland a cushion that the Bears would not relinquish in doubling up Wissahickon 10-5 in Monday’s American Conference matchup.
Upper Moreland held a 3-2 lead, but the Bears expanded that to a 7-3 advantage at halftime.
Kiera Hess led the Bears with five goals.
Sophia Stehlik reached the 200-draw control plateau as part of her 5 draw controls on the day. Kaylee Hammond led the Trojans with two goals.

—Props: “Huge props to our defense for another stellar performance. Layla Keller, Siena Bruno, Reagan McCabe, and Adriana Crawford continue to anchor our defensive end and have kept us in many close games this season with their effort and communication.
“Reagan McCabe had an outstanding game from start to finish, finishing with 3 caused turnovers and 3 ground balls. Each game her confidence continues to grow, and it has been great to watch her development this season. She does an excellent job getting her stick into passing lanes and creating turnovers for our defense.
“Another shoutout goes to Ava Fell, who stepped up strong in the second half with 1 save on 3 opposing shots on goal. She helped hold the opponent scoreless in the third quarter and continues to be a strong leader and communicator in our backfield.
“Offensively, our attack started the game strong as well. Kaylee Hammond finished with 2 goals, 1 caused turnover, 1 ground ball, and 1 draw control. She continues to showcase her skill and ability to finish on cage.
—Celebrating Stehlik: “Senior captain Sophia Stehlik played a huge role in our offense, finishing with 1 assist, 1 caused turnover, 3 ground balls, and 5 draw controls. Sophia also celebrated an incredible milestone today, reaching 200 career draw controls. She has had an outstanding season, and we are so proud of her leadership and accomplishments.”

Springfield Twp picked up a big win on an important day.
Frankie Rizzo netted her 100th career goal as part of a three-goal, one-assist effort in Monday’s 
game. A Lower Moreland player also reached the 100-goal plateau.
Outside of the celebrations, the Spartans topped Lower Moreland 15-7 in Monday’s American Conference game. And the Spartans also celebrated Senior Night as well as Diabetes Awareness Night.
Adrianna Demers scored a hat trick for the Spartans, who are ranked sixth in the District One Class 2A

They put in so much time and effort to help make the team what it is, so it was nice to have a night to honor them and let them all get to play together. The girls worked well together and put forward a great effort from start to finish.”
—Diabetes Awareness Night: “Two of our seniors, Ella and Frankie, live with diabetes, and it is something that they deal with on a daily basis. We have always tried to have a game to create awareness as we have found that there are
many other people in our community that live with it as well. We raise money along to help those that have helped our athletes along with others. We found out this year that the Lower Moreland Coach has type 1 diabetes and we got to honor him as well.”
—Milestone achievements: “For the second year in a row, we had two 100-goal scorers reach that achievement on our Senior Night – a player from Lower Moreland and Springfield’s Frankie Rizzo. You love to see a team celebrate big milestones and the hard work that those players put in to get to them. Frankie is a workhorse, always trying to not only better herself, but her teammates as well. She gives constant encouragement and advice to others and we were so happy to see her achieve this big milestone – and on Senior Night is the icing on the cake.”

Quakertown 13, New Hope-Solebury 8
Senior captain Casey Rosenberger led Quakertown to a win over New-Hope Solebury with 6 goals in the Panthers’ 13-8 American Conference win on Monday. Junior Darcy Baxter had three goals. Sophomore Elaina Milne found the back of the net two times.
Panther sophomores Emily Reese and Ellie Stanziola each tallied 1 goal. Freshman goalie Maddie Mankus kept Quakertown hot with 13 saves on the night.

The Knights celebrated Senior Night with a no-doubt-about-it win over the visiting Aces in Monday’s non-league contest.
Morgan Rogozinski and Maddie Gorman led North Penn’s attack with five-point games.
Caylynn Thompson came up big in goal in her return to action after being sidelined with an injury, turning away 10 shots which included all seven shots she faced in the second half.

“It was Senior Night and a great evening celebrating our 11 seniors. They responded all night, tallying seven of our goals along with seven assists.
“Offensively it was a controlled attack that kept their feet moving, eyes toward the 8, and notched 11 assists.
“On defense, our middies and low defense shut out Lower Merion in the second half, playing as a cohesive unit with tenacity and great help defense.
“It was great to have Caylynn (Thompson) back in goal after missing the previous five games due to injury, and like the defense in the second half, Caylynn turned away seven shots after halftime.”
