Pennridge & Springfield Twp were winners in SOL baseball action Friday.

PENNRIDGE 11, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3
In a game that was suspended because of rain in the top of the third on Thursday, the Rams – who led 3-0 at the time – did not lose any momentum from the interruption. They came back and put 11 runs on the board to complete the sweep of their three-game series with the Titans.
Four Pennridge pitchers saw action in the win.
Tim Croyle, Nick Calabretti and Connor Murray led the Rams’ hit parade with three hits each. Murray smashed a two-run home run in the top of the fifth that gave the Rams a 9-1 advantage.

Key inning: Top of third – Back-to-back walks and a single to Brayden Robinson loaded the bases with none out. Tim Croyle’s single brought home a pair, and that was followed by an RBI single by TJ McGuigan. A sacrifice fly by Wyatt Moyer plated Croyle with the Rams’ fourth run. A walk and single loaded the bases yet again, and a walk to Anthony Cox forced home a run. The final run of the inning scored on a wild pitch.
Pennridge coach Dan Long:
“We got contributions from a lot of different guys today, piling up 15 hits. We are excited for our last league series next week.”
Up next: Pennridge – which has a two-game lead at the top of the Colonial Division - will host North Penn Monday in the final three-game series of the season. Central Bucks South will host Central Bucks East Monday in game one of its three-game series.

SPRINGFIELD TWP 8, DOCK MENNONITE ACADEMY 7
Things did not look promising when the Spartans went into the bottom of the seventh staring at a 7-4 deficit, but that’s when they staged a gutsy comeback, winning in walk-off fashion when Jack Kirk singled home a run with two outs.
The Spartans held an 11-7 advantage in hits.
Ryan Trader notched the win, the fourth pitcher to see action for the Spartans.

Key inning: Top of seventh – Trailing 7-4 with just three outs remaining, the Spartans rallied for the walk-off win. Mike Capoferri, who singled, scored on a steal of home. With two outs Rocco Lugrine singled, and that was followed by an RBI single by Zac Breslin. Gus May’s pinch single to right field plated the tying run, and a single by Jack Kirk scored the go-ahead run that gave the Spartans the dramatic walk-off win.

“Tough game against a very well coached Dock Mennonite team. It was really good to see the players battle. We had great at bats in the bottom of the seventh, just competed in the box. Gus May had a huge pinch hit single to tie the score, and Jack Kirk singled to win the game. Mike Capoferri had a huge day, scoring 3 three runs, Nathan Brockmeyer with two RBIs.
