COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 9, HARRY S TRUMAN 2
Rock North completed a sweep of its three-game series with Truman, breaking a 2-2 tie with three runs in the fifth and closing out the game with seven unanswered runs.
“Earning a league win against Truman is always significant,” Rock North coach Matt Schram said. “Their record does not reflect the level of effort and quality coaching within their program, and this was a hard-fought, well-earned victory for our team.”
Ryan Bukowski was the offensive catalyst for the Indians, finishing the game 3-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored.
Jude Hamilton notched the win with a quality start but reached his maximum pitch count with one out in the seventh. James Halikman retired the only two batters he faced to close out the game.

Key inning: Top of fifth – The Indians broke a 2-2 tie with a two-out rally in the top of the fifth. Zack Ruple got things started with a two-out double, and Preston Martin drew a walk. Ryan Bukowski lined an RBI double to center field. Kyle Book followed with a two-run single, and the Indians had a 5-2 lead on their way to the win.

--Date change: “Due to the threat of heavy rain this evening—and the potential impact on tomorrow’s game—we made the decision to play today, as we would not have had another opportunity to compete this week with prom scheduled for Friday.
--Hamilton delivers: “I was very pleased with our starting pitcher, Jude Hamilton. He delivered an outstanding performance, going 6 2/3 innings with efficiency and command. He went head-to-head with Truman’s ace in what was a true pitchers’ duel.
--Props: “I was equally encouraged by our offensive approach. After struggling a few weeks ago against Neshaminy’s left-handed pitching, we made a clear adjustment to be more patient at the plate. That approach paid off, as we came through with several key two-out hits. Ryan Bukowski, Kyle Book, and Noah Furman each contributed strong performances offensively.”

PENNSBURY 11, PENNINGTON SCHOOL 6
The Falcons celebrated Teacher Appreciation Day with a convincing non-league win that provided an opportunity for literally everyone on the roster – except Monday’s starting pitcher – to see action.
Keller Bradley started and dazzled, retiring the first batter he faced on a fly ball to left field and then striking out the next eight batters he faced in three perfect innings. He threw 42 pitches that included 29 strikes.
A six-run fourth blew the game open.

Key inning: Bottom of fourth - The Falcons turned a tenuous 4-2 lead into a commanding 10-2 lead with six runs. Owen Hawkes led off the inning with a single, and after a sacrifice bunt, Carlton Crane singled. Pierce Perry’s double to left plated a run, and Brendan Zuckerman singled home the second run of the inning. Despite just one more hit in the inning – a single by Tyler Lee, four more runs scored for the Falcons, who led 10-0.
Pennsbury coach Joe Pesci:
--The game: “We need to do a better job closing out these wins. There are some things to clean up, but today was overall a really positive day for our team.
“We got 24 kids in the game today. The only healthy player that didn't is scheduled to pitch 
tomorrow, so it feels great to get all these players in the game and come away with a non-league win against team with really good record from NJ.”
--Bradley brilliant on mound: “Keller Bradley had one of his best outings of the year. It was a planned 3-inning outing since it was a non-league game, and we wanted to get multiple pitchers in. He was incredible and it was a shame to pull him. The first batter flew out to left field and then Keller struck out the next eight he faced. Who knows what he could've done today if we kept him in. He threw 3-4 pitches for strikes today and was really efficient throwing 42 pitches in three innings. Colin Boraski and Quinton Shaffer had very good innings in relief as well.”
--Bats stay hot: “Our offense played at a high level again. We had 10 hits but also manufactured runs with some groundball RBIs and Sac flies. Carlton Crane had three hits. Pierce Perry doubled and reached all three ABs. Brendan Zuckerman and Ty Lee each had two RBIs. We ran the bases really well today, not just swiping bags, but taking extra bases and being aggressive.”
Up next: Pennsbury will travel to Neshaminy for game one of the eagerly awaited series between the top two teams in the Patriot Division.
