It was a full team effort today with 9 different players contributing goals. McKenna Lynch & Paige Dougherty lead the attack netting 7 of our 8 goals in the first quarter. After that we were able to move some people around and experiment with different line ups. Super proud of senior defender Bella DeHaven who scored her first varsity goal today. She has been a starting varsity defender for 3 years and has never tried playing attack. We moved her to attack in the 4th quarter to give her the opportunity to score a goal before graduating. She has a really nice free position shot but is a little hesitant to drive in with the ball. She made a couple of attempts to get in and ultimately ended up getting fouled. As soon as she was given the 8 m I knew she was going to score and she did, netting our final goal of the game.
We were able to get freshmen Fiona St. George, Leah Tellner and Quinn Marsland in today and they rose to the occasion and had great games.
