It was truly an honor to play in our first Support Our Troops game tonight, honoring the men and women who serve our country. We have the privilege of playing a simple game such as this because of the men and women who sacrifice for our freedom. It was wonderful to have them with us tonight for the game!

I was extremely proud of our all-around effort tonight. Katie Straub gave us another strong performance on the mound, and Madi Mott was able to close it out for us. We got solid hitting up and down our order. I was pleased to see everyone in our lineup hit the ball hard tonight.

Highlights:

Emma Messmer has been on fire for us in the past several weeks. She is another player that we have moved in our lineup several times, and she never complains. She just wants to hit! What I really appreciate about Emma is that she is extremely coachable. She trusts our coaching staff and will make adjustments to make herself a better player. When you watch her in practice, the ball jumps off her bat. She can hit the ball as hard as anyone on our team, and I am so happy to see her hard work translate into the games.
