After 2 tough defeats , the Lions bounced back to a 7/5 victory on Senior night. Senior Captain Colin Foster lead the charge scoring 2 goals and winning 9 of 13 face offs. Brady Restaino had 2 goals and 4 assists. Isiah Tousignant had 2 goals and 1 assist. James Lasky had 1 goal and was key playing both Attack, O and D middle. Cole Catalano was superb in goal with 14 save despite being a man down most of the second half.
Coaches Comments: I can't say enough about our 3 seniors, Colin Foster, Quinn Bridge and Jack Reed. We challenge our seniors each year to "leave the program better than they found it" and these 3 have certainly done that. Their leadership has been outstanding. Every player played for these seniors tonight. Not only are they outstanding players and teammates, they are excellent students. They are the embodiment of the Lion spirit.
After running out to 6/2 lead we shot ourselves in the foot with penalties, finally turning back a resilient LC team. A big shout out to Junior middle, Rogan Restaino who has been doing a lot of the dirty work in the trenches despite battling numerous injuries all season. After missing 2 games due to illness, Captain Josh Dizio returned to anchor the defense with key ground balls and caused turnovers. Great to have him back.
I'm proud of the effort all the boys put in tonight. They deserved this victory after 2 tough back to back games.
The team will play Upper Moreland in a league game Monday.
