WILLIAM PENN CHARTER 8, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 7
The Patriots took a tenuous 5-4 lead into halftime and lost any momentum they may have had in a third quarter that saw Penn Charter score four unanswered goals to go on top 8-5.
East battled gamely in the fourth quarter, scoring two goals and keeping Penn Charter off the scoreboard to pull to within one. They would get no closer.
Oliver Rennie led the defense with eight ground balls and three caused turnovers. Goalie Alex Sipperly recorded 11 saves and was credited with five ground balls.

The Cardinals made the trek to Downingtown East for a morning non-league battle, and it was the Cougars coming out with the win.
Matthew Shohen led UD’s attack with three goals and one assist.

MARPLE NEWTOWN 15, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 5
The visiting Colonials hung tough for one half, trailing by one after one quarter and 6-4 at halftime.
Marple Newtown – second in the latest District 1 5A rankings – used a 7-0 third quarter burst to seize control of the game on the way to a win.
Sean Herron’s three-point game led the Colonials’ attack while goalie Mason Best anchored the defense with 15 saves.
