Neshaminy 5, Upper Moreland 4
Finn Pfluger scored his second goal of the game with just 48 seconds left in regulation to lift Neshaminy to a thrilling 5-4 victory over Upper Moreland in Tuesday’s SOL Crossover game.
After being shut out in the first half, Neshaminy rallied in the second half, scoring three unanswered goals in the third quarter to overcome a 2-0 halftime deficit and set up the dramatic fourth quarter.
James Funk led Upper Moreland with two goals, and Colin Davidson recorded 20 saves.

Neshaminy coach John Donato: “Despite us having a late game Monday and facing Tuesday's heat, our team overcame a 2-0 halftime deficit. Upper Moreland performed well, particularly their freshman goalie.”
—Props: “Our defense, anchored by EJ Seitz and supported by Caden Fogleman, Nate Lenihan, and Cam Andujar, played consistently, while Jaxon Olszewski was reliable in goal. Cayden Weaver won 8 out of 11 faceoffs.
“Props to Damian Castro, a senior new to lacrosse but a skilled athlete, who has quickly become an outstanding defensive midfielder thanks to his speed and dedication.”

Council Rock North 20, Holy Ghost Prep 4
When it comes to eye-popping stats, Council Rock North has several to pick from.
Liam Costello was a perfect 16-for-16 in the faceoff circle.
Trey Minter dished out a ridiculous nine assists.
And the Indians put up a 20-spot in rolling past Holy Ghost Prep by a 20-4 count in Tuesday’s nonleague game.
Minter also added four goals for a 13-point day, while Castillo had a goal and an assist.
Liam Dudley and Billy McBride each added four goals for the Indians.

Notre Dame 21, Pennsbury 10
Notre Dame (NJ) pulled away over the middle two periods to down Pennsbury 21-10 in Tuesday’s nonleague game. Notre Dame outscored the Falcons 14-3 in the second and third quarters.
Trent Becker and John Curtis each scored three goals and added an assist for the Falcons. Colin Rakowski made 13 saves.

Tuesday’s non-league game against the visiting Vikings started out on a promising note for the Indians, who led 3-1 after one quarter and took a 5-4 edge into halftime. The second half belonged to the Vikings, who outscored the Indians 4-2 on their way to the non-league win.
For the Indians, Landon Moore won 12 of 18 faceoffs and also had five ground balls.

SOL Crossover non-league
Central Bucks West 17, Springfield Twp 7
Sophomore Ainsley Shissler was dominant on the attack, pouring in a whopping eight goals and adding three assists as Central Bucks West rolled past Springfield Twp 17-7 in Tuesday’s SOL Crossover nonleague game.
Shissler also had three groundballs, a pair of draw controls, and three caused turnovers.
Olivia Barrett was her usual dominant self in the faceoff circle, picking up 10 draw controls and causing four turnovers.

—On her sensational sophomore: “Ainsley Shissler was really confident and dynamic all over the field and I’m super-proud of her. She has stepped up her communication and has been a presence all over the field. She is a special player who can do so much on the field, and she showed that tonight. Her speed and quickness allowed her to attack in transition and command the offense.”
—Fabulous freshman: “Freshman Evelyn Moore also had a great night, adding one goal, one assist, four groundballs, three caused turnovers and one draw control. She has really come into her own and has impacted the game all over the field. She is super gritty and always hustles. She has added another dimension to our midfield as we’ve gotten further into the season.”
—Midfield dominance: “Juniors Olivia Barrett and Kamryn Brownlow also had solid days in the midfield. They combined for three goals, two assists, 15 draw controls, eight groundballs, and five caused turnovers.
Up next: The Spartans will visit New Hope-Solebury at 3:30 pm Thursday. The Bucks will welcome Neshaminy at 7 pm Thursday.
Nonleague
Upper Moreland 18, Jenkintown 6
Upper Moreland scored five unanswered goals in the first quarter to set the tone in the Golden Bears’ 18-6 victory over Jenkintown in Tuesday’s nonleague game.
Kiera Hess scored six goals to lead the Bears and added one assist. Eva Gorrell and Leah King each registered six draw controls to give the Bears possession throughout the game.

Upper Moreland coach Kim Frantz: “All in all, it was a great team effort and win. We came out ready to play from the first minute of the game. Eva Gorrell did a great job getting a lot of the draw controls early on, which helped us keep the ball at the offensive end in the first quarter. Leah King and Madeline Cox both had an amazing game leading the team in forced turnovers and ground balls.”
—Props: “Our defense – made up of Bridget Hess, Kendall Hurley, Madelyn Frantz, and Keiley Hawk – really worked well together today to make Jenkintown work hard for each goal they got. Keira Hess and Leah King dominated the offensive end with 11 goals combined. Molly McCann especially in the last quarter had some amazing saves.”
