Before the first quarter had ended, Souderton had already built up a 6-0 lead. The Indians never looked back, taking an eight-goal lead into halftime and cruising to a 16-5 victory over Bensalem in Monday’s National Conference matchup.
Cameron Bauer had four goals and an assist to go along with five draw controls. Carly Gavetti had three goals and two assists.
Jordyn Bell led Bensalem with a goal and an assist.

Natalie Berndt reached her milestone quickly.
Paige Dougherty was right behind her.
Entering the game just two points away from reaching the 100-point milestone for her career, Central Bucks East senior midfielder Berndt netted the first two goals of the game to hit triple digits in points.
The next goal was scored by Dougherty to hit the 200 career points milestone. Cece Hayes recorded six points with two goals and four assists, bringing her career point total to 130 points.
“Those three players work so hard in the midfield for us and work really well together, so it was great to celebrate all of them today,” East coach Kelly Tait said.
After getting all the milestones out of the way, the Patriots continued on and picked up an 11-7 win over Council Rock South in Monday’s National Conference game.
Nine different players come up with caused turnovers. The defensive unit of Bella DeHaven, Kayla Matlack, Ella Menard, and Madison Beck did a great job of pressuring the ball, coming up with turnovers and getting the ball back up field to the attackers.
The attack, led by McKenna Lynch (4G), worked hard to find the open spaces, hit open cutters and place their shots.

--On the draw: “Draw controls today were key. and we really weren’t getting many of them at the beginning of the game, but Paige Dougherty was able to make adjustments to figure out what was working and what wasn’t. Once she figured it out, she was able to direct the ball to Cece or Natalie and we were able to start coming up with the majority of the draws.”
--Getting defensive: “Defensively we had nine different players come up with caused turnovers. Our defensive unit of Bella DeHaven, Kayla Matlack, Ella Menard and Madison Beck did a great job of pressuring the ball, coming up with turnovers and getting the ball back up field to our attackers.
--More props: “The attack, led by McKenna Lynch (4G), worked hard to find the open spaces, hit open cutters and place their shots. They also did a great job keeping their composure and keeping possession of the ball when we trying to slow things down and work the ball around.
“This truly was a full team effort. Every single player on the field ended up with stats recorded next to their names in the stat book. It was fun to watch them have individual successes that all came together create a team victory.”

Pennridge 15, Central Bucks South 0
Overcoming an unexpected Central Bucks South strategy, Pennridge scored the rare shutout, blanking the Titans 15-0 in Monday’s National Conference game.
The Titans played the waiting game in the early stages of the contest, holding the ball and not attacking the cage when they had possession.
The Rams eventually found their offense. Megan Moylan scored four goals, assisted on another, and won eight draw controls. Madigan Posey scored four goals and added three draw controls.

—An unexpected strategy: “The first quarter actually was a bit slow for us. We were not expecting CB South to hold the ball for their possessions. After gaining the first draw looking for an early look, we turned the ball over around one minute in. CB South was on offense, and they spread out very wide and no one was looking for the cage. My defenders were looking at each other and me like, ‘What are they doing, should we just go?’ So, we pressured as much as the refs would allow, and after four minutes and not even a shot, CB South turned it over and we gained possession. Paige Cowper found a cutting Megan Moylan for our first and only goal of the quarter. Another draw win for the Rams but another turnover. South held again for another four minutes until we could get the ball back with two minutes remaining. Another Rams turnover and no shot again from South ended the quarter 1-0.”
—Finding their offense: “I told my team that we need to play through their game plan and just focus on the controllables. When they have the ball, they are stalling, so win every draw control and keep it in our sticks, and that’s what we did. We opened up big in the second and put up eight goals. We were 15-4 on the draw today. Huge credit to Megan Moylan who had another stellar performance with eight draws. Gianna Luthe and Madigan Posey were aggressive as always on the circle and each came up with three draws of their own.
“Six different goal scorers for the Rams in the second. Gianna Leuthe put up two, one on her own and one assist by Megan Moylan. Kayla Verespy found Paige Cowper for her first and only on the night. Emma Gall cashed in on an 8m, then on the next scoring play, Emma found a cutting Kayla Verespy for her first and only. Moylan cleaned up a ground ball in front of cage for her second on the night. Kayla Verespy found Madigan Posey for the last of the quarter, taking it to 9-0 at half.”
—Sticking to the game plan: “The second half we stuck to the game plan by possessing the ball, forcing South turnovers if they had the chance to get it, and keeping our foot on the gas offensively. I know I wanted to get subs in, it was more just a matter of when. Leah Boytin went in and made an immediate impact for us with a transition goal assisted by Gianna Leuthe. Leah also put up one assist, two ground balls and a caused turnover tonight. I love watching Leah grow this year. It’s not easy to get time as a freshman with this competitive group, I have been getting Leah more reps in practice and games, and she continues to prove why she deserves them. I look forward to seeing her get more and more confident with the varsity group. Madigan Posey was also able to put up her third of the game assisted by Kayla Verespy securing her hattrick and taking the score to 11-0 at the end of the third.”
—Closing it out: “The fourth quarter, we stayed aggressive, I wanted my team to lock in this win and shutout. Meg Moylan put up two in the fourth quarter, putting up at least a hat trick in her past four consecutive games. Emma Gall scored another off an 8m, and Madigan also hit her fourth and final of the night with an assist from Leah Boytin.”
—Player Props: “My defensive unit continues to impress me. A shutout is no easy task. We only allowed two shots by CB South the whole game, both saved, one by Nina Rotella and the other by Lily Blair. Harper Posey remains a solid midfield presence and secured four ground balls and three caused turnovers, while Julia Lenox – a leader of the defensive unit – notched one ground ball and two caused turnovers. Freshman Naomi Nulty had a chance at some action and she went on the field on defense and immediately came up with the ground ball. It was great to see her have that immediate impact moment with the varsity group.

Central Bucks South 0 0 0 0 – 0
Council Rock North 23, Neshaminy 2
Council Rock North delivered a 23-2 victory over Neshaminy in Monday’s National Conference game, controlling the contest from start to finish with strong play on both ends of the field.
Leading the offensive surge was Catherine McBride, who netted seven goals while also contributing five draw controls. Olivia Esposito continued her all-around impact with four goals, two assists, and five draw controls, helping to set the tone early.
Gabby Mann added three goals and two assists, while Stella Allain had a standout performance with three goals and three assists. Clara Altier contributed across the board with two goals, three assists, and five draw controls, showcasing her versatility.
Addison Deppi chipped in two goals, and Mackenzie Pyle added another to round out the scoring.
Izzy Wielehowski was a force in multiple areas, recording one goal, one assist, three draw controls, two ground balls, and a caused turnover, providing a strong presence in transition and on the circle.
Reese Merrill scored both Neshaminy goals.
Up next: North will square off against rival Council Rock South at 7 pm Wednesday. Neshaminy hosts Central Bucks South at 3:30 pm Wednesday.
Central Bucks West 16, North Penn 7
You can’t score if you don’t have the ball.
Central Bucks West was dominant on the draw on Monday and used their possessions well, picking up a 16-7 victory over North Penn in a National Conference game.
Kamryn Brownlow led the West draw dominance, winning nine. She also had a hat trick and one assist. Olivia Barrett won six draws and added four goals and an assist.

—Props: “Addy Stromberg had a great game in the midfield and Kamryn Brownlow had an outstanding game on the draw with nine. Olivia Barrett had a consistent game all over the field. Evelyn Moore stepped up and controlled transition and brought a positive energy after we struggled in the first half.”
North Penn coach Ken Rodoff: “Our team defense was put to the test today and although the score may not reflect it, they grew stronger as the game went on, improving on their communication and slides.
—Props: “Props to Maddie Gorman and Mila Rogozinski for playing midfield for the entirety of the game and battling all over the field. Caylynn Thompson notched a 46.4% save percentage, turning away shot after shot and initiating our clears, which, when successful, led to the bulk of our goals.”
—More props for Barrett: “Olivia Barrett controlled the draws for Central Bucks today. Kudos to her and her ability at the draw.”

American Conference
Upper Dublin 14, Lower Moreland 1
Monday’s game was about far more than lacrosse.
Upper Dublin hosted Lower Moreland in the team’s annual Morgan's Message Mental Health Game. Both teams purchased T-shirts and wore them for warm-ups. Then the following was read pregame with both teams lined up facing each other.
Morgan’s Message Pre-Game Message: “The Upper Dublin Girls Lacrosse Team, along with Lower Moreland Girls Lacrosse, is dedicating today’s game to the life and legacy of Morgan Rodgers, a former Duke University Lacrosse student-athlete who died tragically in July 2019 after battling mental health challenges.
“Although Morgan’s life was cut way too short, her legacy of unconditional love remains. Morgan’s Message was created by her family and former teammates with the mission to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, normalize the conversations about mental health and to ensure that mental health is treated equally to physical health for all student-athletes.
“For more information on Morgan’s life and legacy and how you can help those with mental health challenges, please visit MorgansMessage.org. Ladies and gentleman, remove your hats for nine seconds of silence in remembrance of Morgan Rodgers. #9 was Morgan’s number at Duke University.”
The Upper Dublin team then gave the Lower Moreland players and coaches a token from Morgan's Message to remember the game and what it means. They either got a wristband or a butterfly sticker that represents Morgan's message.
After the ceremony, the Cardinals earned a 14-1 win over the Lions in an American Conference game. Twelve different players contributed to the scoring, with Abby Rucker leading the way with a goal and four assists.

The second quarter proved to be the difference in Upper Moreland’s tough 8-3 victory over Cheltenham in Monday's American Conference game.
Clinging to a 2-1 lead after one quarter, the Golden Bears scored four unanswered goals in the 
second to take a 6-1 lead into halftime. Both teams scored one goal each in the third and fourth quarters.
Kiera Hess led the Bears with three goals and Leah King had six draw controls in addition to chipping in one goal.
Brianna Gardner won five draws, scored once, and had two ground balls and two caused turnovers for the Panthers, while Mia Haugen had four draw controls and four ground balls to go along with a goal and a caused turnover.

team, and this year was no different. This game felt much closer than what the score shows. Cheltenham did a great job winning draw controls early on in the game, and the first quarter was really back and forth on the field. We were able to get a lead in the second quarter and hold onto that lead the rest of the game. Today we had some great connections on transition and right to goal, I was happy to see those connections working today.”
—Props: “Bridget Hess did a great job on defense with some interceptions and playing great controlled defense.”
Cheltenham coach Emily Towey: “Although we didn't get the win today, we absolutely have closed the gap from where we used to be with Upper Moreland. They are a team that is coached really well, and today we knew what to expect and what we needed to do. We had a couple sloppy mistakes that cost us big, especially against their zone ride, but I am so proud of the team and how they played today.”
—Props: “Our defensive unit of Penny Morrison, Vlada Larina, Giana Meija, London Montague, and Lila Payne all showed up huge for us. Our middies, Mia Haugen, Brianna Gardner, and Morgan Gregorio looked great on the circle and all over the field. So many players stepped up as leaders and made the right decisions. Progress doesn't always show up on the scoreboard, but we are moving in the right direction.”

Casey Rosenberger, Darcy Baxter and Ellie Stanziola each scored three goals to lead Quakertown to a 16-5 win over Hatboro-Horsham in Monday’s American Conference game.

New-Hope Solebury topped William Tennent 18-2 in Monday’s American Conference game.
The Lions' attack was led by the four-goal effort of Hailey Castellano.
Carissa Malpezzi scored both Tennent goals, with Olivia Jakimoski assisting on both.

We’ve been focusing on cutting to get open and creating more scoring opportunities, and over the past few games the girls have really been stepping up with their off-ball movement, setting picks, and finding space to shoot.”
—Props: “Carissa Malpezzi has been doing an outstanding job with her cuts and working to get open, and today it truly paid off. She made two great cuts to the goal, and Liv Jakimoski connected with her both times for two well-earned goals. It’s great to see the hard work translating into game situations.”
--More props: “Props to our midfielders—Liv Jakimoski, Mia Rahn, and Carissa Malpezzi—who did an incredible job controlling the pace of the game and consistently working the ball from one end of the field to the other. Their grit and determination were on full display, especially when transitioning became a challenge. They never let up.
“Liv Jakimoski had a standout performance, showing great field awareness, moving the ball with confidence, making smart passes, and creating key opportunities for our offense.
“Our goalie, Marissa Gillgrube, in her first year in the net, continues to show improvement with each game and is growing more confident every time she steps on the field. She did an excellent job clearing the ball quickly and accurately after her saves, helping us transition efficiently. One of her biggest highlights today was her hustle—stepping out of the crease to chase down a wide shot and secure possession for us.”

Abington 12, Wissahickon 4
A consistent attack and a spread-out offense powered Abington to a 12-4 win over Wissahickon in Monday’s American Conference matchup.
Seven different players contributed to the scoring, with Katie Pennekamp leading the Ghosts with four goals while also adding four caused turnovers, six groundballs, and seven draw controls. Nora Luskin won five draw controls while also adding three goals and two assists.
Paige Dratch scored twice for the Trojans.

--The game: “We earned a strong team win behind a balanced offensive attack and a dominant defensive effort. Leading the way, Katie Pennekamp had a great performance with four goals while also controlling the field with seven draw controls, six ground balls, and four caused turnovers. Nora Luskin added three goals and two assists, along with five draw controls, helping Abington maintain possession throughout the game.
“Charlotte Lowery contributed two goals and two assists, while Abby Ellner chipped in one goal and two assists to keep the offense rolling. Additional scoring came from Erin Ely and Chelsey Higgins, who each found the back of the net, while Carly Hughes added an assist and made a big impact defensively with three caused turnovers and two draw controls.
“Defensively, Abington was relentless. Keely Gallagher led with three caused turnovers, while Grace Warchol, Joanna Duff, Caleigh Fitzgerald, and Higgins all contributed to the team’s strong pressure. In goal, Cheyenne Fisher anchored the team with seven saves, securing the win with key stops throughout the game.”
