The Falcons faced a tough Lawrenceville squad that led from the outset in Saturday’s non-league road game.
Tucker Monzo’s six-point game led the Falcons’ attack.

The Patriots bounced back from a disappointing 6-4 loss to Abington with a vengeance, earning the decisive non-league win over the Panthers Saturday.
Paige Dougherty and Cece Hayes both had five-point games to lead the Patriots’ attack. Hayes also had nine draw controls in a strong showing. Lora Collins had seven saves in goal for East.

--The game: “We knew we needed to control the draw in this game to try to keep possession away from Quakertown. They have some very good shooters, and we set out to limit the amount of time those shooters had possession.”
--Bouncing back: “We had a hard loss yesterday where we made a number of uncharacteristic errors with fundamental skills like passing, catching and ground balls. I was pleased to see the girls clean up those errors today, and our connections were much better. Our attack did a nice job slowing things down and looking for open cutters. Defensively, the team is really coming together and working as a unit. Their communication and slides looked solid, and they fought really hard for every ground ball.”
--Props: “Our midfielders on the circle - Paige Dougherty, Natalie Berndt and Cece Hayes - worked together really well together and fought for every draw. By the end of the game Cece Hayes came away with nine of the draw controls. Lora Collins continues to impress in the cage and came up with seven saves today.”
Up next: Central Bucks East will host Council Rock South Monday, and Quakertown will host Hatboro-Horsham Monday.
Downingtown West 15, Pennridge 8
The Rams trailed by just two at halftime (8-6), but a scoreless third quarter allowed Downingtown West to run away with Saturday’s non-league game.
“The last time we played a strong District 1 opponent, we just did not show up,” Pennridge coach Maddie Dachowski said. “Today, we are able to walk away feeling better than last time but still ready to reflect and make necessary adjustments.
“I am looking forward to hosting conference opponent CB South this Monday at home.”

--The game: “I thought we played a great game overall, but we let up in the third too much. We had very minimal possession, and in such a close game (8-6 at half) where we were right on their tail, we needed to have a huge third quarter. Downingtown West has a talented group of girls, and they were just a step ahead on the circle today. I think if we had more opportunities in the second half all together, the score would reflect the tightness that this game had.”
--Player Props: “I think we had a great showing from a lot of players today. Julia Lenox looked phenomenal on the defensive end. She had five caused turnovers and ground balls. Harper Posey also looked very solid on defense. I asked her to step up big today with her matchup, and I thought she showed a lot of really strong moments.
“Nina Rotella had a great day in cage with over 10 saves. Nina had two saves on the first possession, and I immediately knew she was going to have a great game. It’s really exciting watching Nina grow in her role as the starting goalie and as a leader of this defensive unit.”
The Usuals: “Gianna Leuthe, Madigan Posey, and Meg Moylan each put up multiple points today. As we continue through the season, I am excited to see how much more these three can achieve.

Parkland 13, Souderton 9
The Indians led 5-3 after one quarter but found themselves trailing by two at halftime. They managed just four goals after scoring five in the opening frame.
Caroline Kelly’s five goal effort led the Indians and included a milestone as she scored her 100th career goal. Carly Gavetti also had a five-point game with three goals and two assists.
