The Golden Bears set the tone for Wednesday’s win with a 4-0 first quarter. They took a 5-0 lead into halftime on their way to the win.
Keira Hess had a hand in three goals, scoring two and assisting on another. Mia Hood had four draw controls, and Molly McCann was credited with nine saves in goal.

“This was a full team effort today. We came out hot and ready to play in the first half. Our attack - made up of Kourtney Malone, Keira Hess, Sophia Perrine, and Ella Gould - really connected and did things they haven’t been able to do yet this season which was great to see!”
--Props: “In transition, we worked well together to move the ball. Madeline Cox hustled everywhere today and led the team in ground balls, and Leah King led the defense with caused turnovers. Freshman Mia Hood led the team with draw controls, won some great draw controls at key moments at the end of the game. Freshman Maci Griffith also played great coming into the game and was big help on attack today. Molly McCann had a huge game today with some great saves and had some great saves especially on 8m shots. Overall, I am super happy we are coming together as a team and working together as a unit.”

UPPER DUBLIN 15, ARCHMERE ACADEMY 4
The Flying Cardinals took advantage of their spring break and took an overnight trip to Delaware. They made it worth the trip with a convincing non-league win over an Archmere Academy squad that brought a 3-0 record into the contest.
Ava Shohen and Maeve Hogan both ha six-point games to lead the Flying Cardinals’ attack. Bridget DiMartile helped UD control the midfield with seven draw controls.

Upper Dublin coach Dee Cross:
“We had six different scorers on the first six shots. The difference in the game was draw controls in the second half and our defense playing together to limit Archmere’s shooting opportunities.
“The attack took care of the ball, and our midfield controlled transition. Bridget DiMartile and Abby Rucker were able to get us the ball on the draw with 11 draw controls between them.
Archmere is a tough team and made us work for every ground ball and shot. This was a total team effort today.

PENNRIDGE 9, PENNCREST 7
It was all Pennridge is its Wednesday home game vs Penncrest. An early Pennridge lead was too much for Penncrest to overcome and Pennridge secured a solid 9-7 win.
--On the Hunt for a Milestone: Madigan Posey started the first draw four points away from 200 in her career. A milestone that is not easy to come by in a competitive Pennridge program.
“I am so proud to see Madigan hit her 200th point tonight. She works so hard for this team, we rely on her in every aspect on the field. After celebrating 100 goals last season as well, she deserves the recognition of being a top player in the record books.” -Head Coach Maddie Dachowski
--How it happened: Posey got off to a hot start, scoring the first goal for the Rams with a slippery drive through the 8m. Her second was off an 8m, her third with an assist to Emma Gall. Usually a goal scorer, Posey’s 200th was an assist to none other than her sister, Harper Posey. Harper finished play with a flashy twister goal. Posey is set to continue to dominate for the Rams and is expected to reach the 200-draw milestone by the end of the year as well. Keep an eye on Posey as she is absolutely one of the top players in the Suburban One League.
--Props: Pennridge also had a strong showing from the freshman duo of Megan Moylan (attack) and Nina Rotella (goalie). Megan Moylan put up four points on three goals and one assist while Nina had eight saves. This production allowed us to take a heavy lead which helped us to hold onto the win late in the game.
Up next: Pennridge - 5-0 after their Penncrest win – will travel to Council Rock South Monday.
