Wissahickon and CB West battled for 5 tough sets on Monday evening. The Trojans came out strong in set one winning 25-19. CB West took the next 2 sets 25-15 and 26-24. Wiss regrouped and changed up their lineup to counter the tall middles for West and took set 4 25-19. Set 5 was a back and forth battle. The Wiss boys fought back from a 11-9 deficit for the 15-13 win. Leading the way for Wiss was Senior Jonas Sabia who tallied 19 Kills, 17 Assists, 14 Digs, 5 Blocks and 1 Ace. Junior Noah Chung was clutch down the stretch with several key kills(10 Kills, 2 Blocks). Justin Pak sparked several runs with great serving and steady defense(3 Kills, 1 Ace, 2 Blocks, 9 Assists and 9 Digs). Reed Harris had another strong performance with 17 Kills, 2 Aces, 5 Blocks, 25 Assists and 8 Digs. Senior Libero Keath McKelvey tallied 23 Digs and 2 Assists. Hats off to the scrappy play of CB West who played incredible defense and forced the Trojan hitters to work around tough blocks. Up next for the Trojans is CB East on Wednesday.
