The Wissahickon Trojans opened their season with a tough non-conference battle against the Bensalem Owls. The Trojans overcame an early deficit and rallied to win the 1st Set 25-23. Set 2 also went to the Trojans 25-20. The Owls battled back and won set 3 27-25. Set 4 was another slugfest with the Trojans coming out on top 27-25. Leading the balanced attack for the Trojans was Seniors Reed Harris who had 16 Kills, 7 Blocks, 21 Assists and 14 Digs, Jonas Sabia with 13 Kills 4 Aces, 2 Blocks, and 7 Digs, Justin Pak with 20 Assists, 2 Kills, 2 Blocks and 3 Digs, Keath McKelvey with 1 ace and 21 Digs. Making his presence felt was Junior Ryan Cella who had 5 Kills and 5 Blocks. Sophomore Noah Chung added 8 Kills, 2 Blocks and 1 Dig. Freshman Raahil Ithikkat added his first high school Kill and 2 blocks. Special shout out to the Bensalem Libero Ethan Choi who was everywhere making play after play. Up next for the Trojans is a non-conference battle against Council Rock South.
