Strengths/Question Marks:
- “The strength of this year’s team is its overall athleticism and competitiveness. We have a good mix of experienced upperclassmen and younger players who have shown they can compete and contribute. Our pitching staff has the potential to be a strength, with several players capable of throwing meaningful innings. Defensively, we expect to be solid up the middle and improve our consistency in the field.
“The main question marks will be how quickly some of our younger players adjust to the varsity level and how consistently we can produce offensively throughout the lineup.”
Outlook:
- “Our goal this season is to continue building momentum within the Truman Baseball program and compete every day in the SOL. We expect our senior class to provide leadership and set the tone for the team both on and off the field. Several returning players will play key roles in helping guide our younger athletes while also producing on the field. If we continue to develop throughout the season, play fundamentally sound baseball, and compete with energy and discipline, we believe this group has the potential to take a step forward and represent Truman Baseball the right way. The goal is ALWAYS to compete for the SOL Patriot Division crown, and also to earn a district 1 playoff berth for the second year in a row.”
