In one of the most exciting early-season battles, Council Rock North Indians earned a hard-fought overtime victory today over Owen J. Roberts Wildcats — one of the strongest lacrosse programs in Pennsylvania 🥍🔥

Council Rock North entered the matchup missing standout midfielder Ellie Carney, who is out for the season with a foot injury. Carney was expected to be a major part of the returning dynamic midfield unit alongside captains Olivia Esposito and Catherine McBride, making her absence a significant challenge for the team.

Despite that setback, North battled all game in a true back-and-forth contest against an outstanding Owen J. Roberts squad that never stopped competing.

Leading the way was captain Catherine McBride, who delivered a dominant performance with 9 goals, including the dramatic overtime game-winner, along with 1 assist, 6 ground balls, and 11 draw controls ⭐🥍

Captain Olivia Esposito controlled critical possessions on the draw circle, contributing 2 draw controls, 1 goal, 1 assist, and 3 ground balls, while providing leadership throughout the game.

Captain Gabby Mann added 1 goal, 1 assist, and 2 ground balls, continuing to make key plays in important moments.
