Council Rock South coach Steve Polinsky on the game: " Today we got off to a fast start against CB West and we were locked in on the defensive end. CB West is a well coached scrappy team and playing there we wanted to get off to a solid start. I really liked how all five players, Ruby Bross, Emerson Gunther, Gillian Martin, Bella Hettler and Anabelle Kusch were all involved offensively. CB West made a run and I loved how our captains Emerson, Gillian and Bella settled us down on the floor. This was Ruby and Anabella's first varsity start and they played great.
Props: Emerson had 22 points and had an excellent all-around game. Em and Gill both shot the ball well. I'm really happy for both of them. " I really loved how we shared the basketball tonight and made the extra pass. We also shot 14-16 from the foul line which was outstanding. Jules Bachman, a freshman scored her first varsity points. It's nice to start the season with a hard-fought win.
