Pennridge Players of the Week

William Dougherty, Pennridge – The senior running back was a catalyst on offense in Pennridge’s 21-9 win over Downingtown East in a District 1 6A quarterfinal contest. Dougherty had 67 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries. He also had four receptions for 22 yards.

Pennridge defensive unit – The Rams’ defense stole the spotlight in their team’s 21-9 win over Downingtown East, allowing just 86 total yards of offense, which included just 22 rushing yards. The Rams also combined for six tackles for loss and also had an interception.

North Penn Players of the Week

Rylie Gray & Matt Pownall, North Penn -The running backs combined for 264 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 35 carries in North Penn’s 43-14 win over Souderton in a District 1 6A quarterfinal contest. They also combined for six receptions for 158 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

--Gray - The junior running back had led the ground game with 196 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries in North Penns’ 43-14 win over Souderton. He also had one reception for 38 yards and a touchdown.

--Pownall – The senior running back was a key to the offense in North Penn’s 43-14 win over Souderton. He caught five passes for 118 yards and a touchdown and also had 16 carries for 68 yards and three touchdowns.

Neshaminy Players of the Week

Michael Eckart & Carter Clee, Neshaminy – The senior duo accounted combined for 477 yards of total offense in Neshaminy’s 49-21 win over Owen J Roberts in a District 1 6A quarterfinal game.

--Eckart – The senior quarterback had another big night behind center in Neshaminy’s 49-21 win over Owen J Roberts. Eckart completed 12 of 18 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns. He averaged 19.3 yards a throw and finished with a quarterback rating of 148.3. He also had 17 carries for 100 yards and a touchdown.

--Clee – The senior running back had 12 carries for 146 yards and three touchdowns in Neshaminy’s 49-21 win over Owen J Roberts. Clee averaged 12.2 yards a carry.
