The Suburban One League National Conference is without question one of the most competitive public football conferences in all of Pennsylvania.

Did you ever hear of the term Penta-championship?

No, you haven’t – the term doesn’t exist.

However, the final week of the SOL National Conference is this week, andif Central Bucks South would defeat host Pennridge, there could be a 5-way deadlock at the top of the final conference standings.

The Titans (4-2, 5-4 overall) would improve to 5-2 in the conference with the victory, while the Rams (5-1, 8-1) would fall to 5-2 in the conference.

Central Bucks West (4-2, 6-3) would improve to 5-2 in the conference with a win over rival Central Bucks East (2-4, 5-4).

Neshaminy (4-2, 6-3) would improve to 5-2 in the conference with a win over neighborhood rival Pennsbury (1-5, 1-8).

North Penn (4-2, 7-2) would improve to 5-2 in the conference with a victory over Abington (0-6, 1-8).

You can forget all about my creation of the term Penta-championship if Pennridge takes care of business with a victory under those Friday Night Lights at Helman Field.

The Rams would be outright champions of the Suburban One League National Conference – one the most dynamic and intense public school conferences in the state.

CR South & PW should have clear roads to SOL conference championships.
Council Rock South (6-0 conference, 8-1 overall) survived a 28-27 scare from Quakertown last week to remain unbeaten in the SOL Continental Conference.

The Golden Hawks have winless Council Rock North (0-6, 0-9) in their final conference game, and Rock South appears to be a clear favorite in the “Unity Cup” game played at Walt Snyder Stadium.

A victory over the host Indians will present CR South with the 2025 SOL Continental Conference outright championship.

Plymouth Whitemarsh (4-0, 6-3) took a step toward its 5^th consecutive American Conference championship with a 42-7 win over Hatboro Horsham to remain unbeaten in the conference.

The Colonials will host William Tennent (0-4, 1-8) in their final conference game, and PW appears to be a clear favorite against the struggling Panthers.

A victory over the visiting William Tennent will present Plymouth Whitemarsh with the 2025 SOL American Conference outright championship.

Speaking of sorry…
The Cheltenham football team will not play its final 2 games of the season due to an investigation into hazing within the program.

The Panthers (3-6, 2-4) forfeited its game last week against Truman (2-7, 2-4) and will not play Quakertown this week.

Q-town (4-5) replaced Cheltenham on the schedule with Delaware Valley Conference power Chester.  The Clippers (9-0) are unbeaten this season and had an open date this week.

Kudos to Quakertown head coach George Banas & his Panthers for stepping up to the challenge and providing its high school with a Homecoming game.

Cheltenham was supposed to have Homecoming last week against Truman.

Sad.

SOL National Conference

Central Bucks South Titans (5-4, 4-2) @ Pennridge Rams (8-1, 5-1)

Last Week:
Central Bucks South kept its championship hopes alive with a 24-21 victory over Neshaminy.  Cade Crim tossed a 19-yard touchdown pass to Gavin Graham and scored on an 11-yard run.  Jack Bartollilo scored a defensive touchdown for the Titans, while kicker Addis Formelio provided what proved to be the winning points on a 27-yard field goal.
Pennridge regained first place outright in the conference with a gritty 15-8 victory over Central Bucks East.  Quarterback Noah Keating fired an 18-yard touchdown pass to Blake Landherr and scored what proved to be the game winning touchdown on a 10-yard run.  Keating completed 11 passes for 140 yards, while Trevor Picciotti rushed for a team-high 72 yards.

Central Bucks West Bucks (6-3, 4-2) @ Central Bucks East Patriots (5-4, 2-4)

Last Week:
Central Bucks West tumbled out of first place in the conference with a 31-13 loss to North Penn.  The Bucks were surprisingly never competitive in the game.  West touchdowns were scored by Josh George and Nick Miletto.
Central Bucks East lost a hard played game to first place Pennridge as the Patriots lost 15-8.  Liam Hoey scored on a 78-yard touchdown run, while quarterback Hunter Pulford connected with Sam Siszel for a 2-point conversion that tied the score in the first half.

Neshaminy Redskins (6-3, 4-2) @ Pennsbury Falcons (1-8, 1-5)

Last Week:
Neshaminy tumbled out of first place in the conference with a 24-21 loss to Central Bucks South.  Quarterback Michael Eckart threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Mike Sassano and scored on touchdown runs of 19 & 36 yards.
Pennsbury had scored just 37 points all season, but the Falcons soared for 42 points in a 42-16 conference victory over Abington.  Luke Beighley was spectacular rushing for 150 yards and scoring 5 touchdowns of the Black & Orange.  Kaiden Brown also scored a touchdown for the winners.

Abington Ghosts (1-8, 0-6) @ North Penn Knights (7-2, 4-2)

Last Week:
Abington remained winless in the conference as the Ghosts were defeated by Pennsbury, 42-16.  Quarterback Miles Yockus threw 2 touchdown passes to Ty Taylor to account for the Abington points.
North Penn kept its championship hopes alive with a convincing 31-13 victory over Central Bucks West.  Rylei Gray rushed for 136 yards – scored a rushing touchdown – and threw a touchdown pass.  Matt Pownall rushed for 121 yards and scored on a touchdown pass from Matt Bucksar.  Bucksar also threw a TD pass to Jacob Garrett, and Aiden Ashley scored a rushing touchdown for the Knights.
Prediction:

SOL Continental Conference

Chester Clippers (9-0) @ Quakertown Panthers (4-5)

Last Week:
Chester remained unbeaten for the season with a 45-0 victory over Penn Wood.  The Clippers are the No.2 ranked 5A team in District One.  Chester has scored an average of 44.9 points per game this year and has allowed an average of just 2.4 points per game.  The Clippers have shut out teams in 7 of their 9 wins this year.
Quakertown head coach George Banas went for a 2-point conversion late in the game; however, it failed as the Panthers were defeated by Council Rock South – 28-27.  Brady Martin stole the offensive spotlight rushing for 2 scores and throwing a touchdown pass to Dominic Ferrugio.

Upper Dublin Cardinals (4-5, 4-2) @ Souderton Indians (7-2, 5-1)

Last Week:
Upper Dublin improved to 4-2 in the conference with a 20-7 victory over Bensalem.  Lawson Tyler fueled the offense with 2 touchdown passes – one to Benji Ravitz – and the other to Kevin Williams.  Gavin Lapa was good on 2 field goals – one of 27 yards – and the other of 21 yards. Sophomore Dylan Moody had four interceptions and a fumble recovery.
Souderton defeated Council Rock North, 70-0.  JoJo Sudi and Colin Harris each scored 2 rushing touchdowns, while Ben Walsh threw a touchdown pass to Timmy Meehan.  Noah Porter, Caleb Moyer, Nate Rusike, Victor Santangello, & Ethan Raab also scored touchdowns for the Big Red.

Truman Tigers (2-7, 2-4) @ Bensalem Owls (4-5, 2-4)

Last Week:
Truman was awarded a 2-0 forfeit victory over Cheltenham.
Bensalem scored a fourth period touchdown in a 20-7 loss to Upper Dublin.
Prediction:

Council Rock South Hawks (7-1, 6-0) @ Council Rock North Indians (0-8, 0-6)

Last Week:
Council Rock South clinched at least a share of the SOL Continental Conference championship with a thrilling 28-27 victory over host Quakertown.  The Hawks’ Connor McCaffrey stopped a Panther attempt for a 2-point conversion that would have won the game for Q-town in the final moments.  Gavin Lacey scored 2 rushing touchdowns for Rock South, while Nate Szydlik added a rushing score.  Marley Emerson threw a TD pass to Joe Madara.
Council Rock North remained winless for the season as the Indians fell to Souderton, 70-0.

SOL American Conference

Hatboro Horsham Hatters (2-7, 2-2) @ Upper Moreland Bears (5-4, 2-2)

Last Week:
Hatboro Horsham had its 2-game conference winning streak snapped in a 42-7 loss to Wissahickon.  The Hatters had beaten Springfield (34-14) & William Tennent (41-18) the last 2 weeks.
Upper Moreland gave 4-time defending champion Plymouth Whitemarsh a battle; however, the Golden Bears dropped a competitive 28-18 game to the Colonials.  Justin Valentin scored 2 touchdown runs, while David Adamski threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Larry Hughes.

William Tennent Panthers (1-8, 0-4) @ Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials (6-3, 4-0)

Last Week:
William Tennent fell into the SOL American Conference basement with a 20-14 loss to Springfield.  The Panthers have now lost 4 games in a row – all conference losses.
Plymouth Whitemarsh had a battle on its hands with Upper Moreland before defeating the Golden Bears, 28-18.  Mike Gianguilo scored 2 touchdowns for the Colonials, while Cole Reilly & Ray Gonzalez also scored rushing touchdowns.

Springfield Spartans (4-4, 1-3) @ Wissahickon Trojans (8-1, 3-1)

Last Week:
Springfield snapped a four-game losing streak with a 20-14 conference victory over William Tennent.  Zymir Small rushed for a game-high 180 yards and scored 2 touchdowns to fuel the Spartan offense.
Wissahickon won for the 8^th time in 9 games as the Trojans marched to an easy 42-7 conference victory over Hatboro Horsham.  Dom Harvey Sheppard returned a punt for a touchdown and also scored on a ‘pick-6’. Evan Tolmie threw 2 touchdown passes – one to Gabe Godoy – and the other to Xavier Johnson.
