Midway through the first half Josh Dozier stole the ball from the CB West Midfield and after a few passes he got the ball back and then found Tyler Jaskelewicz who slipped a ball into a running Jackson Tait. Jackson deked out the keeper and scored the first goal of the game.
A few minutes later CB South had another good scoring chance and Tyler Jaskelewicz was tackled in the box and won the penalty kick. Jackson Tait stepped up to the spot and converted for his second goal of the game.
The 2-0 score held up until halftime.
In the first couple minutes of the second half Tyler Jaskelewicz came down the left wing and crossed a ball in. Jackson Tait dropped to the top of the box and hit a first-time volley into the bottom right corner to extend the CB South lead to 3. The game remained 3-0 until there was 11 minutes to go and CB West was awarded a penalty for a handball in the box. Michael Rafalowski for scored for the Bucks to give the 3-1 scoreline.

COACH ED BRNARDIC:
I was super happy with how we played in the first half. We moved the ball well and created some good scoring chances against a very solid CB West defense that we respect immensely. We scored the first goal and we kept attacking. We took a 2-0 lead into halftime, and we talked about getting the important third goal. We opened the second half strong and scored early to get the three-goal lead. At that point you could see us relax a bit, which poisoned our mentality and credit CB West for recognizing that. They started to take more possession from us, and they took advantage of their spell of possession which led to a handball in the box and a penalty kick.

PROPS:

Luka Giglio
Luka had his best game of the season. Luka is a midfielder by trade and wasn’t playing much earlier this season because of the talent ahead of him. But Luka kept grinding at practice and he kept learning more and more of what is expected from him. Then a few weeks ago we got hit with some injuries and we desperately needed someone to step up and play right back. We approached Luka with the idea, and he decided to give it a go. After every game he studies the video and is eager to learn. He has been getting better and better. Today was his best game of the season - we couldn’t take him off the field. He was strong on defense and dynamic in attack.

Jackson Tait
Last year we were fortunate to have Anthony Bice up top. Anthony knew how to score - he had 20 goals and was voted the Colonial Division player of the Year. I couldn’t have imagined that anyone was going to come close to the productivity this season, but Jackson Tait has come to play. At the beginning of the season we had Jackson Tait lined up on the wing, and then after a few games we moved him up top. Jackson has been incredible and now has 19 goals with 2 games remaining. His first goal tonight showcased his speed and dribbling skills, and his third goal exhibited his technical ability when he hit a perfect volley from the top of the box into the bottom corner.

Another tireless game from this duo in the midfield. I am thrilled that I get to coach these guys and that I don’t ever have to play against them - because they scare me. I call them Freddy and Jason because they remind me of the guys from the old horror movies - every time you think you got away from them, and you are safe, they bust through the door and grab you again. They are relentless. They just keep coming after you and keep taking the ball away. Every practice and every game they lead the team in effort and tonight was no different.
