Bensalem Comments
Bensalem spotted the visiting Hatters 3 goals, but were unable to fully recover after that. It was a tale of two halves. Hatboro-Horsham came out of the gate early and scored 3 times within the first eighteen minutes. The Owls did show some grit and attempted a comeback starting with freshman Leah Vorgity in the third quarter. Just a minute and a half into the second half Veronica Lennon assisted on the Vorgity goal. It was Vorgity's first varsity goal and Lennon's 5th assist. And then halfway through the final quarter, senior Keana Rodrigez found sophomore Kylie Blank on the doorstep and Blank deposited it into the cage to make it a 3-2 game. It was Rodriguez' first point of the year and Blank's fifth goal of the season. Unfortunately , there wasnt enough time to complete the comeback, with Bensalem losing this one 3-2.

We just came out so flat today. The offense has been sleeping through most of this season , but the whole team lacked the energy that we need to compete. We were without a couple key players today and that didnt help either. The whole team was able to get themselves back up and play today but we're not talented enough yet to spot any teams in this league a lead, let alone a 3 goal lead. It's amazing what success and confidence can do to these players, but we have to have that confidence and swagger right from the jump and we didn't have it today. It was nice to see our freshman getting her first varsity goal, and for that effort she was awarded the Outstanding Owl.
Veronica Lennon played another strong game today, as well as, Keana Rodriguez, they both had great efforts in the midfield.
