SOL National Conference
COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, BENSALEM 0 (25-21, 25-12, 25-14)
The Golden Hawks earned a sweep of the Owls with a great all-around showing.
Junior setter Emelie Korn led the Hawks with 24 assists and 6 aces. Senior outside Olivia DeSaro continued her offensive dominance with 12 kills and defensively dug up 9. Junior middle Toren Kotter racked up 6 kills and 4 blocks. Senior Middle Kristina Shumakov added 3 kills and 2 blocks. Junior Opposite Riley Witmer lent 3 blocks and 4 kills to the effort. Junior outside Soliel Kauer had 4 kills and 6 digs. Sophomore defensive specialist Mia Bacevich added 4 aces to the team effort. Finally, junior libero Chloe Brossman passed at a 2.6 in serve receive and had 4 digs defensively.
“It’s not often that eight athletes can be highlighted with significant contributions to a match which speaks to the Hawks’ focus on teamwork,” Rock South coach Kelly Korn said.
Up next: Council Rock South will host Strath Haven in a non-league match Friday, and Bensalem will travel to Springfield Twp for a non-league match Friday.
SOL Continental Conference
PENNRIDGE 3, QUAKERTOWN 0
The Lady Rams made quick work of Quakertown, earning a 3–0 sweep behind a balanced attack and stifling defense.
Setter Aubrie Schulz directed the offense with 23 assists, while adding 3 kills and 11 digs. On the outside, Chloe Wint tallied 14 kills, along with 9 digs, 2 aces, and a block. Fellow outside Maggie Dekutoski contributed 6 kills, 4 aces, and 9 digs to round out the scoring punch.
As has become their hallmark, the Lady Rams’ defense shined, finishing with a combined 48 digs, led by libero Sloane Gochin. At the net, Pennridge controlled the front row with 6 stuff blocks, paced by middles Shea Lightcap and Arianne Lauf.
For the Panthers, Ericka Marks led the way with 10 kills and one block. Bella Mooney (4 kills, 2 blocks), Gazelle Diehl (3 kills), and Mileiry Ortega-Ramos (3 kills) also contributed at the net. Genevieve Clark (11 assists, 1 kill) and Kadence Miracle (9 assists, 1 ace) shared setting duties.
Up next: With back-to-back wins, Pennridge looks to keep rolling when the Lady Rams return home to face Central Bucks South on Tuesday night. Quakertown will travel to Souderton on Tuesday.
NORTH PENN 3, SOUDERTON 2 (25-15, 25-12, 15-25, 18-25, 15-13)
The Knights edged the Indians in five hard-fought sets.

North Penn squeaked to 8-0 with a nail biter over Souderton
The North Penn Knights advanced to 8-0 with a 3-2 win over rival Souderton. The Knights grinded out a five-set win after winning the first two games.
The Knights started the match in set one, building a quick 5-2 lead on Souderton, and continued to pressure Souderton to 10-4. North Penn’s attack and stout defense overwhelmed Souderton, led by senior captain outside hitter Madlen Potrusilova, who led the Knights with three kills. Senior captain setter Belle Mukulski contributed a pair of aces, and senior libero Kate Donaldson added another ace. The Knights won the set 25-15.
Set two followed a similar pattern to set one with North Penn opening a 10-2 lead. The set was one of the most complete games the Knights have played this season. Junior middle hitter Maya Mukulski led the team with six kills on six attempts and added three aces from the line. The Knights served tough with a total of eight aces and a 25-12 set two win.
It looked like North Penn would run away with the match, but Souderton rallied in set three. The Knights lost the momentum in the game, and Souderton stormed back in set three. Serving and hitting errors, along with inconsistent passing, derailed
North Penn. Souderton wins set three 12-15.
Souderton rattled North Penn, and continued the aggressive play in set four. North Penn’s passing disappeared, but the momentum started to swing back to the Knights. North Penn began to adjust to the Souderton offense and figured out their tough serving. The set was a seesaw affair until Souderton built a 16-20 lead. North Penn continued to claw, but Souderton won set four 18-25.
The match came down to the final set, and North Penn fell behind early, 0-2, and rallied to build a 5-3 advantage. Behind strong serving and blocking, the Knights’ lead grew to 9-5. Souderton continued to battle, tying the match at 11 and then taking the lead, 13-12. North Penn tied the set at 13 on a kill by junior captain middle hitter Maya Mukulski. Sophomore outside hitter Holland Van Ooyen stepped to the serving line and pressed Souderton’s receive, taking a 14-13 lead. The final point was a wide scramble with eight changes in possession, and Maya Mukulski ended the match with a tip in the center of the court. North Penn wins game five 15-13.
Up next: North Penn will travel to Abington on Tuesday, and Souderton will host Quakertown on Tuesday.
CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-14)
The Titans earned a sweep in Thursday’s battle between the sister schools.

SOL American Conference
UPPER DUBLIN 3, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 1
In a battle of the conference’s top squads, it was the Cardinals remaining undefeated with a four-set win over the Colonials.
“It was a great battle against an always solid PW squad,” UD coach Paul Choi said. “UD girls showed a lot of resiliency after the second set. It was a great effort from the whole team showing awesome energy throughout the entire match.”
Brooke Kinsley, Madison Small, Isabell Driehuis and Janis Andrulonis combined for 43 kills in an impressive showing at the net.

The Ghosts won the first game, but the Hatters rallied to win the next three.
“We had one of their best starts this season winning game one with skill, energy and pose,” Abington coach Marlene Jackson said. There was a high voltage energy created by both teams in the gym.”
Abington was led by junior Maddie Peltzer (12 kills, 5 aces, 5 Digs), junior Sofia Heininger (15 Kills, 10 digs) and senior Annabeth Rourke (4 Kills, 1 Ace, 12 digs).
Up next: Hatboro-Horsham will travel to Cheltenham Tuesday, and Abington will host North Penn on Monday.

ABINGTON 3, WISSAHICKON 2
The Ghosts notched their fourth win of the season Wednesday, edging the Trojans in a five-set match.

The Panthers rolled to a sweep of the visiting Redskins in a non-league match Wednesday.
