Cheltenham and Lower Moreland played out a competitive contest marked by intensity and effort.

The first half was evenly matched, with both sides battling for control in midfield. Just before halftime, Lower Moreland found the opener in unusual fashion. A shot from outside the box looked to be safely handled by Cheltenham goalkeeper Wolf Brown, but a bad bounce off the uneven field caused the ball to slip underneath him, giving Lower Moreland a 1–0 advantage heading into the break.

Despite the setback, Cheltenham’s performance showed clear improvement from their previous match. The Panthers entered the second half with confidence, pressing forward and creating attacking opportunities. Ean Justice came closest to leveling the score with two well-taken efforts that forced pressure on the defense.

Lower Moreland nearly doubled their lead on a rare second-half counterattack, striking the post before Cheltenham scrambled the rebound clear. On set pieces, Cheltenham threatened but couldn’t convert, as corners and free kicks often floated too high, allowing Lower Moreland’s defense to recover and clear.

Cheltenham’s standout performers included Emile Chanoine, Jayden Sumitra, and Aldin Sabljic, who provided energy and composure throughout. Alan Fazio also impressed after shifting from his usual right wing role to left back, where he brought stability for the remainder of the match. Keeper Wolf Brown recovered strongly in the both half’s , securing every ball played in behind the defense and keeping Cheltenham in the game.

While the result ended in defeat, Cheltenham left the field with positives to build upon, showing progress, resilience, and determination that will serve them well moving forward.
