We had a disappointing loss for our home opener. We kept a talented GA team off the board in the first half, going into halftime ahead 1-0. However, we did not maintain the same discipline in the second half and paid the price as GA scored 4 in the second half.

In the first half our defensive unit remained very disciplined in limiting GA's opportunities. Our midfield trio of Jordyn Fox, Sammy Pennisi and Quinn Rozanski did a good job at building some threatening attacks. With 11:54 left in the first half, one of those attacks lead to Shannon Mahon attacking through the box and sliding the ball off to Emma Liebert. Emma made a great move and finished with the ball in the back of the net.

Unfortunately, we did not have the same discipline in the second half. GA has a talented group that will take advantage of sloppy play. We have a lot to work on moving forward.
