Adrianna DeMers – Salisbury University (Lacrosse)
Major: Undecided
Reasons for choosing Salisbury: “I really liked the location of Salisbury and how it’s Division 3, and I’ll get a good balance of academics and athletics. But it’s one of the top Division 3
programs, so I’ll get to compete at a high level.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I started thinking about playing in college in middle school. My club team helped me a lot with that.”
Springfield Twp coach Katrina Metz: “Adrianna was a great midfielder for us, solid and steady on every part of the field. I could rely on her defensively, in the midfield and on the attack. More on the quiet side but not quiet in the way she played. She was an incredible asset to our team, a solid and steady leader. She leaves big shoes to fill! Excited for her next year. I know she’ll be able to step right in and help and contribute to the team.”

Ella McLaughlin – University of Scranton (Lacrosse)
Major: Marketing
Final list of colleges: Scranton, Catholic
Reasons for choosing Scranton: “Scranton was always my top choice. Just the team and
the atmosphere – everyone is super close, and that was definitely a selling point for me.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I started playing club lacrosse in about sixth grade. Our coaches really drilled it into us and helped us with the recruiting process, so that made me think about it a lot. Around freshman year is when I really knew that I wanted to play.”
Springfield Twp coach Katrina Metz: “Ella was a solid attacker for us, and she was also a great senior captain. I could rely on her to help communicate and run the offense. I would call in plays, and she was responsible for knowing what was needed to be done, and she would communicate to the team if I wanted to make any changes. She was a cheerleader for her teammates and would help explain if things needed to be adjusted. I could rely on her, and she’ll definitely make an impact on her team next year.”

Stormii Schock-Sprague – Ursinus College (Lacrosse)
Major: Neuroscience
Final list of colleges: Ursinus, Youngstown University, Shippensburg
Reasons for choosing Ursinus: “The thing that made Ursinus the right choice for me is that it was way closer to home than any of the other schools. Late in the game, I realized I didn’t want
to be far away. I wanted to be able to go home when I wanted to. Also, the campus felt like home. I went there a few times, and each time I got there, it just felt more and more like the right fit.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I played club lacrosse, and we started the whole recruiting process immediately in eighth grade. Even though coaches can’t talk to us until our junior year, we started in eighth grade. I was super behind in it. I didn’t really start doing anything for recruiting until the summer going into my junior year because that’s when I decided – maybe I actually want to do this. Before that, I was very adamant that I didn’t want to play in college, and I was okay with it being done after high school, but then I thought back about all the years of playing club. I was like – I dedicated my whole life to this sport. I might as well go as far as I can. That’s when I started reaching out to schools and putting in work for it.”
Springfield Twp coach Katrina Metz: “Stormii was an incredible goalie who stepped in junior year and was the backbone of our defense for the last two years. She has such great instincts and communication skills - always talking through things with our defense, trying to get better as a whole. I’m looking forward to seeing her contributions and play in the next chapter of her career.”

Frankie Rizzo – Rollins College (Lacrosse)
Major: Undecided
Reasons for choosing Rollins: “I honestly wasn’t considering other schools. I just knew where I wanted to go. I chose Rollins because of the people, the location and the team, and when I went there, I was like – I want to be here. I could see myself there.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I’ve been playing club lacrosse since I was eight. Playing in college was in the back of my
head since I was little. I started playing varsity freshman year, so it got more serious. Then I knew I wanted to play in college.”
Springfield Twp coach Katrina Metz: “Frankie was the backbone of our attack. She would bring in the younger kids – help them understand and talk them through. She always had ideas and something to talk about positively. If there were things that needed to be adjusted – whether at timeouts or when we did postgame talks, she just really contributed a lot not just on the field but off the field. She was a great senior captain and leader. She also became more confident as the year went on, attempting new things and trying different positions in regards to the low attack. I felt like she really grew as an athlete and leader this past year, and I think she’s going to have the ability to step on the field and make a pretty big impact even as a freshman. She’s joining her sister down at Rollins, and I’m excited for her to be able to go and play with her sister. I think it’s going to be fun for her.”
