John Byrwa – Frederick Community College (Baseball)

Reasons for choosing Frederick Community: “It was the first school I went to and the first school that I got an offer from, and they’re a good school, so
I decided to go there.”
Favorite Souderton sports memory: “My favorite memory was beating Pennridge last year.”
Souderton coach Mike Childs: “I was very impressed by how his hard work and determination turned him into one of the top pitchers in our league this year. I highly respect his no-nonsense, get-it-done attitude. Even though he wasn’t a captain, he was one of the leaders on this year’s team. All of these positive traits are going to be a welcome addition to his college team next year.”

Charlie Hunsicker – Ursinus College (Baseball)

Reasons for choosing Ursinus: “I decided to go to Ursinus because of their coaches
and their staff – they were just really, really great.”
Favorite Souderton sports memory: “My favorite memory was beating North Penn for our first win on the turf.”
Souderton coach Mike Childs: “It has been a pleasure watching Charlie, starting in little league and getting better every year until he reached his goal of playing college baseball. He has turned into one of the better defensive outfielders I have ever coached. Our next centerfielder will have some big shoes to fill next year and beyond when he’s gone.”

where I wanted to spend my next four years.”
Favorite Souderton sports memory: “My favorite memory was going to Aberdeen with the guys. It’s great team bonding, and we just had a lot of fun together.”
Souderton coach Mike Childs: “Ethan is the kid that every team needs and every teammate likes. His fun attitude kept practices and games light, but he switched to a competitive gamer when it is time to close out games on the mound. We will miss his Conor McGregor walk off the mound after recording the save.”

Patrick Wendell – Lackawanna College (Baseball)

Reasons for choosing Lackawanna: “I was talking to Delaware and Wagner, but it really
didn’t work out for me, so I ended up playing at Lackawanna, playing Division II in the PSAC.
Favorite Souderton sports memory: “My favorite memory was going to Aberdeen with the guys and just having a good time.”
Souderton coach Mike Childs: “Patrick is a three-year varsity guy who is a true definition of a utility guy. He played third, first, outfield and pitched for us over the past three years. He was a good teammate and leader as one of our captains this year, and I see him continuing that heading into college.”
