“These three young men have been overcoming obstacles together for a long time,” Quakertown coach Jon Pallone said. “They grew up playing QYBA (Quakertown Youth Baseball Association) as teammates and as friends, and it’s been a privilege to coach not only talented players but close friends who pushed one another to be better on and off the field.”
William ‘Bo’ Bowen – Stevenson University (Baseball)

Reasons for choosing Stevenson: “Stevenson has one of the best coaches I have ever met, and (I have) friends on the baseball team as well, plus it’s a beautiful campus.
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “I first started thinking about college baseball my sophomore year when I started doing showcases
and realized I was doing really well. After that I was set on playing college baseball. This past summer I went to a state event and had an amazing showing with one of my best pitching performances ever, striking out two top five prospects in their grade. After that, I started getting emails from coaches and teams asking me to come and see their college, and when I visited Stevenson, I knew it was the place I wanted to be.”
Quakertown coach Jon Pallone: “William will be attending Stevenson University in Maryland where he will join our 2025 alumnus Cole Reich. William brings energy and charisma everywhere he goes. When he steps on the mound, he has the ability to be dominant, but one of the things I respect most about William is that he genuinely loves the game. When it meant getting more innings or continuing to grow, he was willing to do whatever it took to compete. That humility and commitment to development will serve him well at the next level. I have William in class as well. He brings the same enthusiasm and presence that he brings to our team. He elevates the people around him, and he brings great energy. That’s how you overcome obstacles – you stay positive, you keep working and you compete.”

Jakob Melchior – Lackawanna College (Baseball)

Reasons for choosing Lackawanna: “They have a really good baseball program, and they offered to help me out with my recovery.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “My goal was to go to the pros first! However, playing with the Bucks County Generals – my club 
team – and working with pitching instructors Steve Schrenk and Scott Snyder, I knew I had the talent for collegiate play. Recruiting started my freshman year with support from the Bucks County Generals.”
Quakertown coach Jon Pallone: “Jakob will continue his baseball career at Lackawanna College. Last year, Jakob was positioned to be a key contributor, but he was faced with one of the most difficult obstacles a pitcher can encounter – Tommy John surgery. That’s not just a physical challenge – it’s a mental and emotional challenge as well. It tests your patience, your discipline and your love for the game. This year, he was still in the recovery process with a goal of returning to the mound while contributing in the lineup. It would have been easy to step away. Instead, he chose the harder path – to come back. I also have Jakob in class, and he approaches academics the same way he approaches baseball – steady, responsible and focused. Baseball is a game of failure and recovery, and Jakob embodies that lesson.”

Logan Niewoehner – Ursinus College (Baseball)

Reasons for choosing Ursinus: “On my visit at Ursinus, I felt that the culture surrounding both the baseball team and school as a whole was very positive, and Ursinus seems like an environment that I can have success at.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “The recruiting process started for me around my freshman spring. I started compiling video and
gathering more data about myself as a player. Throughout high school, I have been fortunate to play in front of colleges and was seen by Coach (Rick) Harrison from Ursinus at a game in the summer after my junior year. From there, we had a few calls. I visited, was offered in September and committed a few weeks later.”
Quakertown coach Jon Pallone: “Logan will be staying close to home and heading to Ursinus College in Collegeville. Logan started for us as a junior while playing through a difficult wrist injury. There were moments when he physically couldn’t produce at the level he was capable of, but he never used that as an excuse. He showed up, he competed, and he fought through it because that’s what leaders do. As a junior captain, Logan demonstrated outstanding leadership. Leadership isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s simply showing up every day, doing your job and setting the standard, especially when things aren’t easy. He embodies servant leadership, and our team benefits from that greatly. Though I didn’t have Logan in class, his academic performance and character off the field reflect the same maturity he shows as a player. Overcoming obstacles is not just something baseball players do, it’s what prepares them for life.”
