On Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, Quakertown seniors Casey Rosenberger & Kayla Byers were recognized for committing to continue their lacrosse careers at the collegiate level.

Kayla Byers – Alvernia University (Lacrosse)
Major: Athletic Training
Reasons for choosing Alvernia: “Alvernia felt like a home as soon as I stepped on campus, and they have an amazing athletic training program with many early job opportunities and experience.
Also, the women’s lacrosse team.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? Alvernia had a clinic that I was going to attend, it ended up not happening, so the coach reached out to me and asked if I wanted to come watch the team practice and talk to her, and from there, I was set.”
Quakertown coach Catherine Scott: “Kayla is such a passionate person on and off the field, and it shines through in everything she does. From always looking to improve her skills to ensuring our season consists of a lot of fun, team bonding activities, Kayla sets the tone of what it means to be a great teammate. Her hard work and determination helped her develop into a strong defender with a high IQ of the game, and that will take her very far in her future at Alvernia.”

Casey Rosenberger – Holy Family University (Lacrosse)
Major: Early Education
Reason for choosing Holy Family: “It felt like the right fit for me.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I grew up playing lacrosse, and as I got older, I realized that it is something I really enjoy and
want to pursue at the next level.”
Quakertown coach Catherine Scott: “Casey Rosenberger’s impact on our team goes far beyond her individual performance, although she was our leading goal scorer. She surpassed the 100-goal milestone her junior year, which is an achievement on its own. Casey influenced her teammates to try new skills and encouraged them to go one more rep in every single drill, which speaks volumes to the kind of person she is and the player she wants to become. I am so excited to see what she accomplishes at Holy Family and all that is in store for her.”
