“All four of these girls we have coached since their freshman year,” Pennsbury coach Jenna Peters said. “This was our first group that we stepped up with as coaches, so it’s been amazing watching them grow into the women that they are and the players that they are.”
Clare Caldaro – Albright College (Soccer)
Major: Allied Health
Final list of colleges: Albright, Ursinus, Arcadia
Reasons for choosing Albright: “Amazing coaches, great balance between classes and soccer, and it’s close to home.”
Coach Jenna Peters: “Clare is one of the sweetest and happiest girls that we’ve ever met and ever been able to coach. She is someone who has been consistent since her freshman year. Her game has only grown. She plays through tough situations, puts her body on the line for the team, and it’s amazing to watch. She’s going to be missed so much. She’s literally the nicest person and the nicest teammate and, again, shows that team-first mentality that we talk about. She pushes herself, and the girls want to push themselves to where she’s at and bring the energy she brings because they feel it and they see it.”

Isabella DiMattia – Arcadia University (Soccer)
Major: Physical Therapy

Reasons for choosing Arcadia: “Great coaches and teammates, pre-PT program and it’s close to home.”
Coach Jenna Peters: “Izzy is a leader through and through. She has a captain’s heart, and she has a team-first mentality. When girls describe her as a player and teammate, they describe her as inclusive and welcoming. I don’t think you’ll ever not see her smiling. She’s always ready to do what needs to be done. She’s been our starting center back since her sophomore year. She communicates with the girls, and she communicates with the team. She makes sure that everyone understands what needs to be done and talks them through it. She’s never one to critique, she’s always one to encourage and lift people up, and I think that’s why her teammates love her. We are going to miss her a lot. She’s going to Arcadia, and we know she’s going to do big things. It’s not a far drive, and we’ll be visiting her and bringing the girls with us.”

Ashlyn McEwing – Misericordia University (Soccer)
Major: Nursing
Reasons for choosing Misericordia: “Amazing coaches and teammates and pretty campus. It’s perfect for me.”
Coach Jenna Peters: “One of the things that stands out about Ashlyn is her intensity. She would have the girls come out in the summer for two-a-days captains’ practice. She was a junior captain, and senior year she was a coach’s captain. She’s one of the most competitive players I’ve met – she wants to do well, and she wants the team to do well. She’s an amazing woman and player. She competes and delivers in games, and she’s dynamite when she’s working hard. We were able to put her in many different positions, and she went with it. She never complained about it – she just went in the position and was a top player in each position. This year in the middle of the season we were able to move her forward, and she was our leading goal scorer and only played offense for half the season. That’s just a testament to who she is as a player. She is going to do amazing things at college. I know she’s going to be a star and she’s going to shine because she’s a competitor, and she wants to be the best and do the best.”

Corinne Russo – The College of New Jersey (Soccer)
Major: Political Science/Pre-law
Reasons for choosing TJNJ: “TCNJ has a wonderful environment and good law program.”
Coach Jenna Peters: “Since her freshman year, Corinne has been dynamite on the field. One word I always describe her as is dynamite. She is everywhere on the field, and she never stops moving. She plays in the center of the field, and she is the heart and soul of the way the game will work. When she’s on and she’s moving, our team flows. She picks up for people and cheers them on. She’s encouraging. She’s just overall such a good person and such a good player. Again, dynamite is how I would describe her because she is everywhere and never stops. In practice, you can feel her energy and the team can feel her energy, and they look up to her as a role model. She demonstrates the team-first mentality we’ve been talking about and trying to get this program back to, and she continues to do that every single day. I even mentioned for winter workouts – ‘come on back,’ and she said, ‘Oh yes, I will be there.’ She wants to put in the work. She loves the process of the game, and the results come with it because of the process she goes through. I can’t wait to watch her in college. She’s only 20ish minutes away from us, and I know I’ll be bringing the girls to watch her play whenever we can and cheering her on. She’s going to be missed a lot by many.”
