Kiley Moister – Mansfield University (Field Hockey)

Major: Secondary Education/English

Final list of colleges: Mansfield, East Stroudsburg

Reasons for choosing Mansfield: “I chose it because the campus is really pretty. I love the team and chemistry they have, and the coach was really nice.”

Field hockey coach Shannon McCracken: “Kiley was a three-year starter, and she also got some playing time freshman year because our starting goalkeeper at the time was injured for a few weeks during the season. What was special about Kiley is she loves being a goalkeeper. She loves being a student of the position, she loves learning. She’s just a student of the game. She loves her position, and she takes ownership at her position which is really cool.
“This year especially she was so great with the younger goalkeepers. She loved teaching them, modeling things, helping them, and she took them under her wing. She was always paying attention during the JV game when they were playing and cheering them on, so she really became a great leader to the younger goalkeepers, which is awesome.
“As a goalkeeper, Kiley’s agile, she’s smart, and she’s really athletic. She made an impact the day she walked onto the field, and she just was a really solid player for us over the years. Her senior year she had a game against (state runner-up) CB West where she had 21 saves. She just had an incredible game, and she’s had a few games like that in her career. She came up big for the team and did a great job.”
