Bryce Fortune – Thiel College (Wrestling/Football)
Final list of colleges: Thiel, Seton Hill, Ursinus, Arcadia
Reasons for choosing Thiel: “I chose Thiel because I wanted a small-town vibe, and they had
a very tight-knit community. When I went there, everybody was nice, everybody was welcoming, and it definitely fit my vibe as far as where I wanted to go in life.”
North Penn wrestling coach Jim Swiggard: “Bryce Fortune battled back from a serious knee injury and, at times, was uncertain whether he was going to wrestle. He was a valuable part of our team because we had two good heavyweights, and he was readily available. It was great for the depth of our team. He was always there when we needed him, and he came through. A lot of teams don’t have two guys at heavyweight that can battle. It was great to have him.”
Jonny O’Brien – Lock Haven University (Wrestling)
Reasons for choosing Lock Haven: “I chose Lock Haven because I really connected with the coaches, and I really liked the way they treated me. I didn’t really consider any other schools 
because I wanted to wrestle there for a while.”
North Penn wrestling coach Jonny O’Brien: “Jonny O’Brien is just intense. Everything he did – he wanted to go hard. He’s very confident. He was the backbone of our program for the last two years. He was part of the team that really, really turned things around from a two-win team two years ago to a top eight team in District 1 this past season. He was fourth in the state of Pennsylvania as a senior. Last year, he made the blood round, meaning he was one win away from placing in the state tournament. This year, he placed higher than all the guys in his weight that returned other than one guy, who was the state finalist at 172. He’s got 130 wins or so, and he’s up on the banner. It was just great having a guy in your lineup that is just about a sure win every time he took the mat. He’ll be greatly missed, and it will be strange without him.”
Ben Quiles-Rosa – San Francisco State University (Wrestling)
Final list of colleges: San Francisco State, Ursinus, Kean, Norwich, Colorado State University Pueblo
Reasons for choosing San Francisco State: “Ultimately, I made the decision to wrestle for San Francisco State because of the great athletic program they have, the intensity they practice with
and the great wrestling program that they have.”
North Penn wrestling coach Jim Swiggard: “It’s pretty unbelievable that Ben Quiles-Rosa was a third-year wrestler. Two years ago, I think he had one win. Last year, he just improved at 180 more than I’ve ever seen from the beginning of the season to the end of the season and ended up making it to regionals and was fourth in the district. This year, he was second in the district, which was amazing as a third-year wrestler. We could always rely on him to do the right thing. Academically, he’s outstanding, and he’s just a great kid. He’s an extremely hard worker. One thing he looked for in a college – he wanted to be a room where he felt like he could get pushed and grow and work hard, and that’s what he found in San Francisco State when he visited. We’ll definitely miss him.”
