On Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, Central Bucks South seniors Gabby Tropea & Julianna Tropea were recognized for committing to play basketball at Rowan University.
CB South coach Beth Mattern: “The Tropea sisters have been an amazing duo to coach over the past four years. Jules worked herself into a scorer, defender and takes a serious approach to basketball. Gabby is also driven, but she wears a smile on her face and can let things roll off her back quickly. They both have put a lot of work into their game and have developed into dominant players on the court.
“I’m looking forward to following their careers at Rowan as I know they will have very successful careers.
Gabby Tropea – Rowan University (Basketball)

Reasons for choosing Rowan: “I really liked the campus, the team and the coach, and I just saw myself there.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in basketball at the collegiate level? “I started thinking about it probably in eighth grade when I started taking AAU really seriously.”

Reasons for choosing Rowan: “I just loved their campus, their engineering school is really good, their team is so welcoming, and their coach is really nice. I could just see myself there.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in basketball at the collegiate level? “I didn’t think I was good enough to play in college at first, but once I got into high school, I started taking it more seriously, and I realized it was something I really loved doing, and I wanted to pursue in college.”
