Tomlinson Takes First, Leads Central Bucks East to Invitational Championship

KUTZTOWN, Pa. — September 5, 2026 — Central Bucks East senior Tyler Tomlinson opened his final high school cross-country season with an individual victory Saturday, leading the Patriots to a first-place team finish at their first invitational of the 2026 season at Kutztown University.
Tomlinson captured the 5K race in 16:37.8, finishing first on Kutztown’s demanding course, which features more than 200 feet of elevation gain.
Central Bucks East backed up Tomlinson’s victory with an impressive team performance, placing five runners among the top 10. Jack Reilley finished fourth in 16:57.9, Jack Helminiak fifth in 17:13.0, Aarav Malhotra seventh in 17:31.1 and Henry Seymour 10th in 17:40.6.
The strong pack secured the team championship and gave CB East an encouraging start to the 2026 campaign.
For Tomlinson, a Central Bucks East captain and Class of 2027 runner, the victory begins a highly anticipated senior season. He entered the fall after a strong junior track campaign that included personal bests of 4:10 in the mile and 9:06 for two miles.
