PENNRIDGE 10, GARNET VALLEY 1
The Rams closed out the season with their second win in as many days – this one on the road at Garnet Valley. They took a 3-1 lead into the fourth inning when they tacked on four runs to seize control of Wednesday’s non-league game.
As endings to, it was a good one for the Rams.
“Total team effort today – it always feels good to end the season with a win,” first-year Pennridge coach Crystalrae States said.
The inning began with the Rams on the receiving end of three straight walks. With one out, Payton Keyser hit an RBI single, and with two outs, Taylor Toutkoushian hit a bases-clearing double to center field that put the Rams on top 7-1 on their way to the win.
Keyer’s four RBIs led the Rams.

Key inning: Top of second - With two outs and nobody on base, Brooke Souder singled, and Meghan Hollberg followed with a double. A walk to Lilly Davies loaded the bases for Payton Keyser, who emptied them with one swing of the bat, hitting a double to center field that gave the Rams a 3-0 lead.

SPRINGFIELD TWP 8, DOCK MENNONITE ACADEMY 7
The Spartans won a non-league thriller, eking out the walk-off win over the visiting Pioneers when – with two-outs in the seventh – Keira Brandon delivered a clutch base hit.
“I’m so proud of our team and the fight they showed the entire game,” Springfield Twp coach Heather Gelhaus said. “They never gave up, and it paid off with a walk-off win.
“Keira Brandon came up clutch in a big situation with the game-winning hit, driving in Reese Kaub to seal the victory.”
The Spartans took an early 3-0 lead in the first, thanks to RBI singles from Kaub and Jordyn Serrao and a sac fly from Olivia Hagan. Dock answered with a pair, but the Spartans made it a 4-2 game in the bottom of the second when Juju Cooney, who doubled, scored on a ground out.
Dock rallied to take a 5-4 lead in the third and upped that advantage to 7-4 in the sixth only to see the Spartans answer with three in the bottom of the inning. Key in the Spartans’ comeback was a leadoff single by Serrao, a walk and a one-out single by Ani Axelrod that loaded the bases. Two runs scored on an error, and the tying run crossed the plate when Cooney lofted a sac fly to center field.
The stage was set for the dramatic seventh.
Kaub and Rylee Kimzey-Strike combined for the win with Kimzey-Strike earning the win with 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief.

Key inning: Bottom of seventh: With the two teams deadlocked 7-7, Reese Kaub and Bea Lyons reached base on back-to-back Dock miscues. With two outs, it was still a 7-7 game when Keira Brandon stepped to the plate and singled home Kaub for the walk-off win.

--Props: “Offensively, Jordyn Serrao, Reese Kaub, Natalie Hartman, Ani Axelrod, and Juju Cooney all had big days at the plate and played a huge role in the win.
“Reese Kaub battled hard in the circle, working through some defensive challenges and keeping us in the game. Rylee Kimzey-Strike stepped in to close things out in a tough situation and absolutely owned her role.”

The Lady Panthers found themselves staring a 4-2 deficit heading into the bottom of the seventh, but they rallied for the walk-off win, benefitting from three walks. Olivia Garrett - who drew one of those walks - scored the game-winner on a steal of home.

The Trojans closed out their season with a win in Wednesday’s non-league contest against their neighboring rival.
Wissahickon scored four runs in a first inning highlighted by doubles from Juliet Farrell (2 RBIs) and Dani Marra (RBI), and the Trojans led 9-0 after two innings
Four pitchers combined for the win. Lyla Glazer started and threw three innings, allowing three hits, three runs (one earned). Rylee Closs closed it out with 1 1/3 shutout innings, allowing one hit.

Key inning: Bottom of second – Mackenzie Melrath drew a leadoff walk, and with one out, Giuliana Schumann singled. An error allowed a run to score, and that was followed by a walk and an RBI single by Tara Plover with a second run scoring on an error. An RBI single by Dani Marra and Ava Frederick’s RBI double put the Trojans on top 9-0.

A five-run first set the tone for the big non-league road win.
The Bears collected 11 hits.
Delaney Stout and Brooklyn Kavanagh split time in the circle. Stoudt did not allow a hit in two scoreless innings, and Kavanagh gave up one hit in three innings. The duo combined for nine strikeouts.

Taylor Pagano drew a walk, and Delaney Stout singled to load the bases. Torpey scored on a ground out, and with two outs, Layla Knecht delivered an RBI single. A run scores on a passed ball, and Jordyn Gibbs walks, and then it was Alaina Darsney singling home the fifth run of the inning.

The Panthers managed just one hit and scored their only run with two outs in the seventh. By that time the Jems had an 8-0 lead on their way to Wednesday’s non-league win.
Tennent managed just five hits – all singles. Emily Camuccio had two of those hits and an RBI.
